Argh, there's a mistake in the XML. West Sakha should be coded as neutral 2. This is causing 2 player games to start with 15 territories #-o

I'm updating the XML now.

Here's an update to the small image, Seoul is spelled out in the legend now. This is such a small update though, it might be better to wait if we have more changes before bothering lack with it...

very nice map
already played 8 game in 1vs1
but no dare to spend any dice in attacking any station
so it ended to be a Russia map
with a décor called Transsiberian train
either they are less neutral
or distributed region at the beginning

This is not really meant as a 1v1 map.

The stations come in play more in multiplayer games.

Perhaps I'll make the 3rd part of the AOS series more 1v1 friendly... ;)

Do the images get converted to jpegs? The stations look blurry on the active map, but not the png's you have here.

Yes, lack converts everything to JPEG.

The 3rd map will be about Pacific Rail, obviously.

I played it a few time and I like the gameplay. I should try it with more players maybe.

You should receive a pm about MapMaker Killer to set a tournament with your map, let me know if you want to be part of it.

DJENRE, please don't ever do this again.

a) other people's map threads are not a place to advertise your tournament, particularly when

b) you do it in an obnoxious and annoying way, spamming the same thing to several threads.

Just started, joined in four different games. I am in two trips and two quads. Maybe remove or reduce the neutral numbers. No one feels their is a any need to take them this early in the game. Nice map.

Trips and quads are basically the same as 1v1 but with more people. The problem with trips, quads and 1v1:s is that they often focus purely on assaulting your enemy and keeping their territory bonus low, and bonuses are often a secondary attribute in those game types. It is a bit problematic for a gameplay like this.

I could always make the station bonuses more powerful to make them more worthwhile, but I'll first have to see how they function in standard multiplayer games, so they won't become too powerful in them...

Playing in a couple too, still only a few turn in, but so far so good.

I have to say I find the distinctions between the stations far too feeble. Much too hard to tell apart. Should be apparent at a glance.

I'm considering increasing all the rail line bonuses by 1 each. That should be interesting...

Yeah, give it a go.

Ok, here's the plan for the new rail bonuses:

St.P. - Yekater +3
Beijing-Harbin-Seoul +3

All others +2

Additionally, neutrals for the Transsib stations would be dropped to 2. Termini would stay as 3:s.

If anyone has any objections to this plan, speak now or forever hold your peas.

I couldn't agree more. I just played this map for the first time and found it severely lacking. It is almost impossible to distinguish between the stations. I actually had to pick up my laptop and hold the screen about 4 inches from my face to figure out which station was which. This map needs A LOT of work.

Are you colourblind?

I'm asking because most people don't have problems differentiating the stations. Which ones do you have problems with?

IT no big problem now that you know which is which, but I had to squint a lot in the beginning to tell blue and purple apart.

No i am not colorblind. Thanks for asking. Like others who have posted, I think the stations need to be clearly differentiated. Why not change the icons so each station has a completely different shape. Obviously blue and purple are very similar colors. Why not something like black / red / white?

You guys do want constructive criticism right? That's what this forum is for isn't it? Or should players who play your maps just keep quiet?

I already changed the colour, see the post above yours. Also the terminals already have a different shape.

When has anyone ever even implied that?
