this is an impressive size of a waiting list - this could be the first tournie that has more competitors on the waitng list than taking part

Alright, the Waiting List is now CLOSED until further notice. No new entrants until we get a few weeks into the league games.
Thanks for everyone who has signed up, I should be getting us up and running in the next couple of days.

I have just finished sending the PMs for Game Batches 1-3, so I anticipate that all of those games will be active within the next couple of days. Also, please take a moment to look at the adjustments I made to the scoring system for each game. It is nothing drastic, but I did make the reward for winning a little higher and adjusted the scores for finishing in the bottom 3 of a game at any given time.
I have also increased the penalty for not showing up for a game to -5 points instead of -3.
There will be a poll soon about a new map to include in the league if the players are interested in doing so, as well as a PM survey arriving in your inboxes sometime in the next week to discuss some possible additions to the league as well. I want the players to be involved so I will try to make as few drastic changes to policy, procedure, or rules as I can without first gathering input from the participants.

Good to hear. I promise not to do that again with the next games.

It's not a problem, Optimus. Tournament organizing can be strenuous... I know!

I don't think we need two champions... One winner, everyone else... loses!
Nah, but seriously... Why need two winners? Only one winner for the whole tournament.

There ISN'T a winner of the whole tournament. This isn't a tournament, it is a continuous league that will continue for a very long time. That is why I am asking if we would like to have an Era Champion every so often in order to give the players something to strive for.
By the time I am done getting input from all of you players this league is going to be pretty fancy.

Is there a reason why 15 and 21? Why not 16 and 22?

Because the games start in groups of 3. 15 and 21 are divisible by 3, 16 and 22 are not.

Then why not 18 and 24?
I guess I misunderstood that then... I change my vote from 'Other' to 'Yes, at 22 games'. (In the final tally, I know I can't change it in the poll... If you'd be willing to change it.)

15 and 21 are fine options. The only other number I'd suggest would be 30, but that might be too long. I voted for 21, the extra 6 games give you a better scope than the fewer do, in my opinion.

Oh, right.. anyway, my vote went to 21 because I like table tennis and you need 21 points to win it in there
