Objective
This tournament is not only about winning but surviving the longest. Each level, regardless of your record you could be sent home. This unpredictable tournament could have you cheering one week, and crying the next. However, winning is important on the last Level.
Game Play
The tournament will be broken up in to levels
Odd Numbered Levels:
Level 1, Level 3, Level 5, Level 7, ect.
Each player will be randomly matched up in 1 vs. 1 game. The player that loses the quickest (the least number of rounds) is eliminated. The player that won the match where the opponent is eliminated gets a Bye Level, meaning said player gets to skip the next level.
Even Numbered Levels:
Level 2, Level 4, Level 6, Level 8, ect.
Each player will be randomly matched up in 1 vs. 1 game, with the exception of the player with the bye level. The player that loses the quickest (the least number of rounds) is eliminated. The player that won the match where the opponent is eliminated does not get a Bye Level, but is credited with the elimination.
The Final Two Levels:
In the final two levels you must win your game to move on, if you loses you are eliminated automatically. The winner of the final level wins the tournament.
Ties
In case of a tie between the quickest eliminated players, the following system will be applied:
- 1. Amount of eliminations of winner, most eliminates losers
2. Amount of eliminations of loser, less is eliminated
3. Record of the losers, worst record is eliminated
4. Record of the winners, best record eliminates loser
5. Review of head to head match ups of the losers
6. Tie breaker game
