wondering if this might be possible?

would it be possible to code tidal ranges into turns? for example, you'd have a low tide, an "average" or medium tide & a high tide where various terts would only be accessible during or depending on which tide was currently in effect - maybe something like turns 1, 4, 7 would be a low tide, turns 2, 5, 8 would be medium tide & turns 3, 6, 9 would be a high tide. can something like this be done with xml?

No. The nearest I have seen is the Who Dun It map. It's a conditional map. Hold x number of certain terr. and you can attack a certain location or (maybe) locations. So fishing areas can open up the more you advance in a different area of the map.

Option:

You could have an A, B, C that all reset to zero.

A attacks shallow +1
B attacks medium +2
C attacks deep +3

This might be an assault style map. Each tribe has a dock. Each dock could assault fishing ships A,B,C. Then from there attack different depths as above.

What would be cool and different is the fishing spots D,E,F would give a bigger bonus but revert to neutral. So like fishing you can harvest but can't stay and have to go back to port with your payday bonus, if you hold it.
