Yes... all of the planes are done by required continents.

Aren't they done with <overrules>....i thought required continents was a winning condition?

They're done with both <required> and <overrules> actually...

<objectives> are winning conditions.

I think for admin sense -> we should stick with maps that have made it into the main foundry?

of my two maps that are in production, Berlin has territory bonuses, required continents, bombardments, and neutral starts. Duck & Cover has bombardments.

Coleman put together a pretty exhaustive list of playable maps and their 'gimmicks' in another forum. It covers more than this thread covers, but might be a good place to start:

That's an awesome list...

Although actually the only one I missed was D-day for Bombardements... which isn't on your list -> but you made the XML for that? :confused:

D-Day was on Coleman's list (check under Multiple Gimmicks). Also, you missed Italy - which probably uses either required or overrules (since your bonus changes depending on # of cities owned).

In Production:

Galactic Conquest has neutral territories and territory bonuses.

Texan Wars has territory bonus [LoneStar]

Madness has territory bonus [dog house] and one-way attacks

Rommel vs Gazalla has Bombardments

Solar System has alternating positive/negative bonuses (overrides?) for the jump gates

D-day doesn't have bombardments (like the AA guns in pearl harbour)
The turrrets and planes are simply one way attacks.

(it does have negative bonuses though ... when you hold the plane and the parachute = -1 from your deployable armies)

We have different definitions of special. My list was built for a different purpose. :wink: I was looking at anything not in a classic risk map.

Yeah, there have been a few complaints about how D-Day is not bombardments, but I like to think that most agree with mibi and me that the gameplay is better that way in our case, since if you devote enough armies you can bust through a lot of the ships, which was the original intent of them.

my china map has extra features, bombardaments and how do you call it, eum you know you get 1 extra army on a country every turn
