Ah, I remember the days when North America and Alexander's Empire were the shiny new maps... seems like ages ago.

none, because lack uploads them in batches. in theory you could ask lack which map he uploaded at the 100 position. but it won't really matter since they all appear on the screen at the same time.

Somehow I'm confused... at the moment on the Start a Game page there are only 87 maps currently listed... I thought we had more than that.

You need to look at Game Finder!

PS - and I can't count - I thought it was 96 - it's 88... this topic is crap now - Meh!!

Aaah, yes, Das Schloss would be #88 that isn't on the Start a Game due to it's complications. How did everyone get confused with how many maps there were? Strange, very strange.

Well, if you count them in the order of quenching, then you could very easily find the 100th map. Even if they're uploaded in batches, they're still "made official" in a certain order.

So - we have 88 maps...

With 8 in the Q bag already... -> 96...

And 7 on the verge as we speak...

Map One Zero Zero is surely upon us soon?!

LOL! I don't much like the guy either, yet I stamped the map. ;)

We're all waiting patiently for the new maps... well, somewhat patiently. I suspect lack's mind has been elsewhere for the past few days - I'm told there was something going on in GD lately, but I don't know anything about such matters.

It'll be fun when all the new maps hit the floor at the same time.

oh...

well im not joking about his style of commenting... its to plain mean to me. Thats the only thing i dont like about him tho, he's a great mapmaker and has an eye for detail, but the way he comments on maps leaves much to be desired in my opinion ...

how did we get so off topic anyways??

My fault for introducing sarcasm.

To get us back on-topic, can somebody look at the dates and figure out what the 100th map quenched was? It should receive a special banner or something, at least temporarily.

It depends on what Andy does with the rest.

Variety is the spice of.. something. I think we need all levels of commenters here to keep things interesting. I generally only leave three types of comments, one being rather mean spirited, inteneded to shake a map makers faith in their own project, i only do this to maps I feel are headed in the wrong direction or need more bluntness than an occasional "maybe you should do this or that" some times a back to the drawing board strategy is what is called for. This type of comment i leave is like an extension of the comments that sprockers would leave only i try to do it some linguistic gynamistics in there for fun.

the other type comment i will leave is something short that addresses a particular issue, usually graphical . the final type of comment i will leave is something much more indepth often showing examples, i only do this on porjects i am really interested in or with people, like cairns who really listen to whats being said. I don't leave these too often these days as I am pretty busy.

So, i can certainly see how you would see me as mean if the only type of comment you receive, bryguy, is the first type. i hope it wil make you a better map maker one day, or just give up all together, either way, its all in how you take it.

it's all fun and games.. unlike high school social studies.

Mibi, can I use that bit for the Foundry Newsletter's Community Perspectives Section, since it fits in perfectly?
