ok guys for starters let me say sincerely that i actually do appreciate the hard work and effort that you guys are putting into C.C.
perhaps with all the new maps, C.C. should start to weed out the old maps that people arent playing much of.
i know they track these things, so it shouldnt be too hard to figure out.
under the game finder or start a game menu's its getting cluttered, and i'm sure this would free up server space.
forgive me if this shoulda been in the suggestion forum, just running it thru your dept. 1'st

NO, they are not taking out old maps. how would you feel if your map "Wasn't played anymore"
anyway, maybe you should make suggestions that add features, and not remove them.

I don't know about anyone else, but I doubt removing the Crossword map would harm the site. I'd like to see it go. But most of the rest dont need to go. It seems that one went up in the very beggining really fast just to have more maps.

all that is needed is some organization.

Personally, I wouldn't shed a tear if crossword, circus max, or several other maps were dumped. But they're still be played by somebody, so they still have their place at CC.
I would only push to dump a map if NOBODY was playing it.
And yeah, mibi's right - if we could organize the maps, and attach information about what the good/bad games settings are for each map, it would make a huge difference.

There's no need to ever get rid of any map.
There are numerous proposals in Suggs and Bugs to redesign the gamefinder as well as display map-specific data when you
are selecting maps. If the gamefinder is ... decluttered, that's surely preferable than destroying someone's hard work.
?

the best thing about CC IMO is the variety of the number of maps that are here. Some of them I don't do well on without really knowing why (Cairns), others I'm a middle of the pack player0I can beat someone who hasn't played it much but not someone who plays it regularly (AOR, Waterloo) and others, for some reason, I tend to do really well on (Valley of the Kings, 2.1). I don't know why my stats fall these ways but they do and I love trying out all the new ones as they come out (I usually join 3-4 right away to get a sense of the gameplay). I'll admit that I don't play CircusMaximus very much but I see no reason to eliminate it.
