I am just about to update the map making tools thread with links to hosting sites for images and XML. Currently I have:

Photobucket
Imageshack
ripway
fileden

If anyone has anymore GOOD sites that should be considered let me know.

I also need the inputs from users who use imageshack and fileden to give a sentence or two about those sites for the map making tools (WM I am looking at you ;)).

So see what I mean check what I have already put in the map making tools thread :)

Sendspace sucks - as it doesn't allow direct linking to the file.

it may seem a bit obvious, but flickr is pretty good, and allows direct linking to full size image :)

Anyone want to give me some states to these sites there talking about? Like bandwidth and storage allowance plus what medias can be uploaded to these sites?

Fileden

Hotlinking allowed for all allowed file extensions, including videos and music files!
1GB of personal storage space.
A 50mb maximum file size limit
5GB of monthly bandwidth

The only thing I've come across that you can't store - is .js files... and with good reason!

This site even allows batch uploading (via use of zipfiles) too.

Every month you have to click through an annoying series of adverts - but once you've done that - you're good to go til your bandwidth reset.

You can create a sign in, or if you already have a Yahoo! account then you can use that.
You get 100MB of uploads per month of images and videos
There is an uploader tool you can download so you can upload directly from you desktop for PC / Linux and mac
Allows Folder organisation, so you can keep your CC images separate from the rest.
