Well done over the past several years and different variations of your amazing almost annual resets!!

BTW I thought we had already opened the ladder to everyone? Are there not currently players that never took the training?

I am devastated! I have enjoyed all this time on the ladder be it when my weird sense of humor was pissing people off or when others' weird senses of humor were cracking me up, when I was brutally spanking opponents and when I was being crushed. Chuck, you have been amazing throughout this time. It would not have been possible without you. I've been honored to be a part of your small council and still have no idea how you managed to do all you've done. It's sad to see the ladder break and fall. But maybe we'll something else from the SoC that'll be even better.

Thanks Chuck,

I know I took a break from CC for a bit, but glad to see that even though my streak was equaled (by Josko no less); no one overtook and got a gold streak.

Effective August 1, 2020, the Society of Cook 1v1 Ladder challenge will be closed. :( :o

Almost seven years ago, I started the SoC 1v1 Ladder to create some fun, excitement, and camaraderie among fellow CC players. In the past year, the number of matches has steadily declined to the point where we've only had four matches in the past two months.

I spoke with dhallmeyer talked about this and the powers that be are not being supportive in a new Ladder Reset I proposed and we cannot open the Ladder up to the general population of CC players.

We've had a great run and I appreciate ALL of you for your support, help, and mostly your friendship! :D :D :D

Some facts about the Ladder:

3rd in most views on CC (537,037) behind The Recovery Room and Tournaments
184 pages of matches, notes, trash talking, and DIBS
4600 total posts
653 total matches
26 different Kings of the Ladder
4 Ladder Resets

I am keeping all of the stats and records and the Google Docs link will be active.

The SoC Mods are chatting about a new series of events...I'm not going to give anything away, but I will be participating as a player.

I've enjoyed the Ladder very much and am glad to have been a part of it.

Take care, guys!
