Please give me the option to get rid of that (by now, very) annoying popup telling me to go to landscape mode on my iPad. I know already that you have optimized for landscape. Sometimes I don't want to be in landscape because the map fits differently on regular. I know what you have designed for.
Now please, please
Let me have control.
I haven't forgotten even though its been five minutes that you want me in landscape. But believe me sometimes I don't want to be there.

Agreed! Very bothersome. Not sure if it is essential to formatting it correctly or not though, I'll have to look into it.

Posting so this doesn't disappear. I really, really, really, really would like it gone.
An example when I don't want it:
Arms Race
In portrait, both maps are on the screen.
On smaller maps I can have Snapshot control and the map on the same screen and actually toggle.

It is time to start a list of maps where landscape is not preferred in spite of the little box that tells you it is.
L - Landscape
P - Portrait
Maybe we can be considered old enough to pick which way we want to look at a map.
Classic
L - See part of the map in closeup
P - See the whole map on one screen
Arms Race
L - See one map partially
P - See both maps at the same time on one screen
BeNeLux
L - See part of map
P - See the whole map on one screen
Easter
L - See part of map
P - See the whole map on one screen
Prison Riot
L - See part of map
P - See the whole map on one screen
To be Continued

Now it is getting really insistant. I consider this another indication that CC would like all mobile users to go away. I don't understand why. I was told they were changing things to make the experience better for mobile users. And for the last year things have not improved or gotten worse.
Why???
We like the site and games and many of us participate greatly.
Why??? Do you want us to go away.
Why??
Why??
Why??
Why??

So lets look at what landscape mode does for me.
I get a closer look at the map.
Portrait does what?
I can see the whole map. In something like Arms Race!, I can see both of them. Now why would I want to only look at part of a map? How long does one need to own a tablet before one learns to turn it 90 degrees and discovers what is there?
So what function other than irritation does the landscape pop up serve?

Hm, I don't use panels, and I don't get the pop-up for landscape when I use portrait view on my ipod. It's pretty nice to have panels on a mobile device if you don't have BOB, though.

If I turn off panels on my iPad, then panels are turned off on my computer when I log in. Then I have to turn them on which of course turns them on on the iPad.

I am getting better at ignoring things. That you CC for the wonderful daily practice of ignoring your pop-up. As I have disbursed before landscape mode is only helpful on occasion. I had enough brains to find this forum. That id's annoy one hundred times more than needed to make a decision about which way too turn one's tablet.
Please remove the pop-up.
