Forced Games

Concise description:
  • Deadbeating is against the rules, and there is no resign button, so people are already forced to continue games that they'd rather not play.
  • Why not fully commit to this doctrine by automatically recruiting people to play more games?
  • To make everyone feel better about the change, give the new program a catchy name like "Conquer Club Compulsory Competitions", or 4C for short.

Specifics/Details:
  1. Have the system generate new games with random settings and randomly assign players.
  2. Repeat from step 1.
  3. Severe punishments for anyone who deadbeats.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • The site needs more activity. People are steadily leaving the site, so the remaining players need to pick up the slack.
  • People who joined the site, obviously did so to play games.
  • By assigning them to games, you are just giving them what they want.
  • More activity will make everyone happy, and save the site from a death-spiral of inactivity.
  • As an added bonus, by playing more games, people will have less time to fill out C&A reports on others over deadbeating.

Excellent idea!
But we can improve it! take players like yourself for example. Four years on the site, 265 games. That simply won't do (if we're going by your premise)
Obviously we need to help people like yourself out by forcing them to open their wallets, to facilitate the playing of further games.
So shall we say a 6 month period maximum as freemium? Or perhaps 50 games maximum? And then you are forced to buy premium or unceremoniously told to piss off?

So many ways we can improve on your fantastic suggestion, if we work together I'm sure we can :)

Awesome idea! Couldn't hurt to try it, right? :)

Arama86n, Don't see the positive for your addition since freemium players are a large part of the site and only letting them play for 6 months or 50 games means that after 6 months (or 50 games which can be completed in less than 6 months) we lose an active player if they don't want to play or if someone is premium then it expires, couldn't you lose some of your active players since you changed it to a "pay to play" site after your "free" period?

Granted this is not a bad idea if it didn't fill a slot for freemium players and gave them a completed game.
