Concise description:
Make an option for 1v1 speed games that allows for the player joining the game to choose a few of the settings.

Specifics/Details:
1) When someone is creating 1v1 speed game, they most likely do not care about every last setting. Someone may want to play with nuclear spoils, but would be willing to still play with no spoils, or escalating spoils. Let the game host choose the options that he is willing to have some leeway on, and display them for the prospective opponents of the speed game.
2) I only recommend this for 1v1 speed games, because getting consensus with 3 or more players is probably a hassle.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
Sometimes no one will join the exact speed game you have created because people do not like your settings, so you could wait for a long with no game. However, by showing some leeway (if desired), you may be able to attract an opponent more quickly, and waste less time simply waiting for your game to start.

The way to fix this is to play with more popular game settings. I.E. Escalating, Chained, Sequential, etc.

That's a very good idea.
Actually the request system is based on the same idea and already exist.
Except that for a reason I ignore request system does not allow you to create speed game.
And ofc we also have the huge problem that no one use request game.

I guess you could edit your suggestion into "add speed option to the request system". And if you have any idea to promote request system as well.
