It's the one map rule that causes it IMO.

1. A great many people aren't creating spread sheets and if they're low on time (or just want to save time), they don't want to go digging to figure out what maps they've played. Or even if they have a spreadsheet, they might not want to add to it and/or look at it right then; especially if they have to try and remember what they named the file. Cry me a river, right? But, that's often just human nature.
2. If you put only two to three maps and five or six randoms, the opposing clan will still likely find enough players who are very good on those two to three maps.

Perhaps, the setup should be revisited. I never cared for the one map for the entire series rule. I understand why it's in place; to prove clans on a diversity of maps and hopefully have more fun as well. But, I would hope we could find a happier medium.
