Also, I checked the other suggestion that you noticed. It is almost the same as this one. The only difference is that the top 6 people on the MONTHLY scoreboard at the end of the month fight for the medal. Everyone has the chance to earn the medal.

Yes i read,its similar but he dont mention two scoreboard table,and hes idea to 6 player decide who is best is not good.

this would only cause people to purposefully tank their scores before the month in order to get the medal, wouldnt it?

maybe runners up medals for the top '6' who get into the final game, then a randomely generated map and setting 6 player game to see ho getys the overall medel

if a cook with an extremly low score won a 8 player doolde assasin game (which are really easy to win if you play a lot of them) then they would gain 700 points making them the mvp of the month

unless another cook won 2 doodle assasins...

either way, this would be unfair on high-rankers

i like the idea of being able to see how many points you have gained/lost in the previous moth but i dont want a scoreboard, or for medals to be awarded

maybe it is doable to have a second hidden score that resets every month and undergoes the same rules at the standard score? this score would then be the one that the MVP relies on. Make it hidden so then it doesnt take over the score system already in place and to make the MVP a bit of a surprise for those who win

Unfair on High-Rankers ,its a joke right,these can be only chance from your example that poor cook get some medal,or to sugested medal for worst score.

These suppose to be a fun,and you create to be very serious thing.

But mine sugestion is that second scoreboard go like regular,only every mont all players start with 0,you have all in page 1.
Where is fun,if you hide scoreboard? Its supose to be interesting and new addition to CC,and you for now only look negative,expecialy thinking that these is not be unfair to high ranked player,and that will be fair for cooks(i dont know what smilies to put here).

I think i see what qwert is trying to say...

the new scoreboard, everyone will have 0 points... so how you gain/lose points in THIS scoreboard will be the exact same as its a completely different score

cook with 5 points on big scoreboard starts with 0 in this chart
someone with 5,000 on big scoreboard starts with 0 in this chart

while the normal scoreboard is judged as it is, when they win a game they will both gain the same ammount of points on THIS scoreboard

confusing... but do you know what i mean?

Concise description:

An additional scoreboard: MVP of the Month

Specifics:

This will not replace the existing scoreboard, but be a new feature.
At the beginning of the month, each persons monthly score is set to 0.
Points are gained and lost in the same way as the existing scoreboard. The player with the most points gained during the month (highest monthly score) gets the MVP of the Month medal.
At the end of the month, all monthly scores are set back to 0 and the process is restarted.
Note: Negative points are possible for this scoreboard.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

It will provide a new, fun challenge for CCer's.

I think it is a great idea!

It might be better to consider this idea in the sense of a scoreboard that is actually much more for the lower/middle rank players. It is quite true that a brigadier has got zero (near enough) chance of winning MVP, but it would be something the 1,000-2,000 players could really get into.

Also, it would be a handy feature to see which players are storming through the middle ranks.

So your average players have got something to aim at while those at the peak of CC can treat it with the disdain they in general treat most things that aren't about them.

Therefore making everybody happy

I get these idea from tennis scoreboard.
Wta ,Atp its a same scoreboard system,you have regular scoreboard table,where you get and loose point(its depend how you play tournaments),and you have year scoreboard,where is collected point for these year. Here you will loose point on month scoreboard,and get in same way like in Regular"all time" scoreboard. Who collect biger number point for recent month he are MVP of these month,quit simple.

Any way,high ranked player,dont need to be afraid for these month scoreboard.

These will be interesting to see who will colect most point for one month,to be MVP, and i think that these is best way to promote some player to MVP of month, and in these scoreboard competition is much,much biger then in present scoreboard,because everybody start with 0 point.

how about the MVP score isnt calculated from the players actual score, but from everyone havin g a score of 1000 and thern seeing how many +/- they get from there, but still allways calculating from 1000, so a win is allways 20 and a loss allways -20 (for 2 player) and its just the person with the most

You sugested that CC create new formula for calculation? I dont think that these will be good.
Higer ranked player will be then get 20 point when kill cook,and you know how cook play bad. These will not be equal scoring, then Klobber will be MVP,because he most play with very lower player,and cook not worth 20 points. These will be bad.

well we need to find a way that a score for a month can be calculated fairly - there has to be an advantage to sum1 - high ranks, low ranks, noob farmers, deliberate point dropping - unless we find a way to make it fair, i doubt this suggestion will ever happen

To make fair,i think that these is enough fair. I just wonder how Lack dont implement something like these much earlier.
I realy dont think that cooks can be MVP of the month. I dont understand all that fear,these supose to be fun, to have new interesting features,and you fear that someon will have advantage and that these will be unfair.
