Postby sfhbballnut on Wed Aug 09, 2006 11:30 pm

We have an ignore list so why not have a buddy list to make it easier to challenge your friends.
Just a thought I had.... Stupid?

Hey guess what!

It's been suggested before under 'friend list'. Please search before posting. Look at the Suggestions Box sticky before posting.

Whereas he's probably just a little bit fed up with people no using the search box. Suggestions are good. Not searching to see if it's already been suggested is bad. There is nothing wrong with adding to an existing thread to show support for the suggestion.
Positive: Great guy, will always play to his best. Honourable and fun to play with as well. You know you're in for a rough time playing mrdexter :) Game 31384 Haydena

Sure I may be a little harsh, but the Suggestions Box isn't there just to sit at the top of the forum. It's supposed to be a tool that the Community can use to easily find things they are looking for and see if they have been suggested. It doesn't take more than a minute to read through the list, and the interface of it is pretty easy to follow. I just wish more people would use it. ;)

If people keep suggesting the same things maybe they should be reconsidered. I thought it sounded like a good idea, not sure what was said in the original topic.

The 'Friends List' has been considered and is on Lack's To-Do list. ;) Maybe look at the Suggestions Box.

It is here to keep the forum clear and uncluttered. The more support a single topic can have, the better. If there are 8 different topics regarding the same thing, it seems more of an annoyance rather than a suggestion. So use it. ;)

hey andydufresne:

1. could you lock and/or delete all threads that have already been suggested. it would clear up all the clutter here

2. how do you remember all the suggestions that have been made? do you go into the suggestions box every time you find a thread and look to see if its already in there?

3. are you the only one allowed to say "this has already been suggested, look before you post," or can i say that if i see something thats already been mentioned?

Edit: 4. why is your avatar curious george?

  • That is what I would use to do, but now that we've got software to merge threads into one single topic, I'll most likely just merge already suggested topics into the designated discussion topic.
  • I generally remember the suggestions that have been made, due to the many hours it took to search, categorize, and alpabetize all the suggestions. But sometimes I check the list, it's helpful for even me.
  • I do not have exclusive trademark rights over that phrase....just yet. That is pending. ;)
  • And my avatar is Curious George because...well gee golly I'm just so curious about things.

Not sure if this has been suggested, I'm too lazy to look, but I think there should be a master list of all suggestions. then maybe people won't keep suggesting the same thing, cluttering the forum.

Friends List

Postby Knight of Orient on Thu Nov 02, 2006 2:52 pm

I know this has already been suggested, but can we possiby get a friends list on the site? It would make it easier to contact them, and if we have an ignore list, I dont see why we dont have a friends list.

not tryin to be offensive or a pain, it would just be convenient.
