Bots?

Has anyone managed to code a bot? Because so much of this game is XML, I'm sure it's really easy (and already been done). Please forgive me for only doing a cursory search for topics involving robots on this site -- I'm on my fifth cup of coffee and I'm shopping for a new computer and I'm looking up casting calls and researching grants!

Also, could there be a game creation option to select a number of players to be robots? Like, in a six player game, I could tell the computer to make three players robots. I would be player 1, a robot would be player 2, player 3 would be human, player 4 would be a robot, player 5 would be human, player 6 would be a robot....it would alternate, 1-2-1-2 (or maybe you could checkbox each player slot individually to be a robot or a human).

Or, would this be an example of "what's the point?"

well its a good idea, but i thnk they should have it to where u cn play a game with just robots and no points will be taken or given out, so that u cn try like a new stretegy or see wats the best thng to do and get ur skill up without playing a human, but i wouldnt care either way.

I just joined up, and am still looking over things to see if I want to go ahead and join a game tonight... which brings me up to a use of bots:

It's been awhile since I've played a game of Risk (in any incarnation).

The chance to play against a bot or three would give me the chance to refresh my memory on the nuances of the game before diving into it against real players. Or, just as importantly, to check out the maps that are available to play. :)
