This would actually be fairly complicated to do, as a reset works as a poll being deleted, then re-created. A whole new set of functions would have to be written.

What's the point just do a new poll? People can vote on that one if they want then.

Because some user's don't know if a new poll has been started. If a poll is restarted, old stat's are lost.

and as sometimes a poll could have a few hundred votes, informing everyone the options have changed could really speed things up rather than have them drift back in over weeks or months.

Don't write a poor poll in the first instance. There are enough pm's sent out that clog inboxes, just update the thread's subject line if a poll is added or reset.

It isn't a poor poll? Let me ask you, how are we supposed to update a poll in the future, when certain options have either been implemented or suggested?
And we have updated the Subject line, but guess what? There is a significant dropoff in voters after the reset. I remember one case going from 150~ voters to about 20-30. Some users only pop into Suggestions once or twice, and vote if they like the idea, then never return.

well sound like interesting sugestion, but from now, after few years, you will forget that you even sugest these. I think that everybody need to stop posting sugestions, so that we can give lack time to implement a large number of submited sugestions, who are full in submited forum, who are waiting from 2006-2007-2008 and etc years. When we clear situation in these forum, then we can fill with new sugestions.

I don't think that the work involved to get this done would be worth the result, but I do agree that it could be useful! Doesn't look like this suggestion is going to make it, good luck otherwise!
