Concise description:
  • be able to filter out certain games

Specifics/Details:
  • instead of just check mark, include a x
  • click once check, click again x
  • this will find all games except for the ones excluding the ones x'ed.
Say you want to play a speed game, and it doesn't matted which one, except you do not want to play assassin games. You click a check on speed games and an x on assassin games, and it will bring up all speed games that are not assassin. or maybe you do not want freestyle and escalating. you x out freestyle and escalating, and it shows the rest.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • will make finding games in the past, present, and future easier to find

How would this help? Not trying to knock it down, I just feel like it won't be a change. You can already exclude things by not picking them. Pick everything except the option you don't want. You want to search for everything except Assassin, then just click all the other game types.

for one catagory this is correct, but it multiplies when you select more than one category.

For instance, if you want to not play 2 player games, you have to do 6 clicks as opposed to 1, then if you want to play terminator, that is another 5 clicks, and you do not want to play escalating, that is another 3 clicks.

so you are looking at 14 clicks as opposed to 3. just for that instance.

You are looking at a few hours of programming and testing to save you 11 clicks and also make things more confusing. The Gamefinder is pretty good as it is, though the results could use some work (organizing by something other than Game #).

not even close to more confusing, and it would save 16,000 users 11 clicks. do that math.

11 clicks takes likes 15 seconds... if you use a track pad.

16000 is total number of users.
11 clicks is extreme of gamefinder clicking needed.

Figure out how many games people have played and how many clicks are required per turn. Does it really seem worth overhauling the game finder? If people are worried about 11 extra clicks, they wouldn't play a game that is completely driven by clicking a mouse. Just a thought.
