Concise description:
  • Not sure about a concise fix. but it would be nice for higher ranks to have motivation to play lower ranks. It would help promote game play on the site.

Specifics/Details:
  • Some way to even out points in games. Why would anyone want to play a cook and get 1 point when you could lose 70 points. It would be nice to have a way for higher ranks want to play lower ranks.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • It would help by getting more of the higher ranks into games with lower ranks, and hence get more players playing each other and interested in the site. I'm all for playing newbs, but not if I'll drop a rank if I happen to get a bad drop and horrible dice.

And how do you suggest we do this? Giving away an even 20 points won't work, as players will rocket up the scoreboard if they farm a map against low ranks who don't know what they are doing.

I agree with the current points system. Making higher ranks less vulnerable to point loss would defeat the purpose.

I also like the current point system.

Also, want to point out the fact that you can never lose 70 points in a game. You probably know that, but want to state it.

have i understood your suggestion right?

after benefiting from being a low rank playing higher ranks for lots of points and successfully achieving a high rank you want the system changed so the current crop of low ranks can't do to you what you did to those before you.

Sure you can. The maximum you can lose is 100 points in a game, which will happen whenever your opponent's score is less than 1/5 of yours. So a brigadier (say) playing a cook will always lose more than 70 points if he loses the game.

Ok, i'm an idiot. In my head I was thinking that the max you could lose was 50, but I know that's not true. I can recall a specific game right now where I lost 59.

Mets is right, sorry for being retarded.
