Time Out & Cards

I forgot to end my turn in a game. An honest mistake.
But it appears that I did not get a card for my turn. This seems unfair. I did conquer at least 1 territory and thus should have otherwise earned one.
I don't think anyone intends to time out and it seems unfair to me to punish them by not awarding a card.
Thanks for listening.

For making people wait, you don't get a card. Really, there are far worse things that you can do. I always am sure to scroll through all my games before getting off of here to ensure that I don't have a yellow arrow next to my name, even though most of my games are "No Cards" and "Sequential"; it's just a friendly thing to do in sequential matches, since people are waiting on you to finish your turn in those. I would suggest you do something similar to ensure that you don't miss a card.
And unfortunately, some people do intend to timeout. Regardless, I prefer that this timeout penalty remain.

It's happened to me before, when CC has downtime, or my internet dies. Kind of unfair.

Is that the rule Jake? You only have to wait an hour at most once someone starts their turn. Only an hour considering you could wait days in some games just to take a turn.

There were debates around this in the past and the rule wasn't changed.

Correct. If it takes you more than an hour to take your turn, tough luck. Also, once the round is over, the turn is over. For example, if you start your turn with half an hour left in that round (whether it's the 24 hours for your turn in sequential or the 24 hours for the whole round in freestyle), then you have half an hour to make your turn before it ends and you get no cards or further fortifications.
