Winning %

I was wondering if it would be possible to keep track of Wins and Losses and have a winning percentage. I think this would make it alot more competitive.

I know in baseball if someone is a .300 batter over their career, that is a hall of famer or at least should be. I would imagine this would be the same for risk...maybe a little higher who knows.

Let me know what you guys think, I would be interested to see what my % is.

well cuz I was bored and stuff I calculated it.
You've won 15 games and have 55 completed games(according to game finder for finished games and your profile for total number).
Thus your winning percentage is 27% or .270 in baseball terms

actually, me and my friends have been keeping track of our own. This makes much more sense for joining games as well. Your rank tells you a lot, but then this completely changes the way you play a game. I think we should also tell if we are on a current streak. (3 straight wins, 6 straight loses) Then, people choosing games will either step out of the way of a hot player, or look to knock off the current unbeatable. This opens so many options. I think we should push hard for the winning % to be added!

I've said this before, but the admins don't make the maps- the users do. Lack on the other hand is working on things that many users have requested to see, such as 8 man games, real time etc. (He has hinted at these coming updates several times now).

I agree that better user statistics is a very good suggestion and one I would love to see... I think it will come with time and it doesn't matter how many users decide they want to create a map.

I have a decent percentage in singles, 65% wins, and around 5 players average play these games

That is impressive...however, it will be interesting to see if it remains the same after 500 games instead of 30ish.....

My average is around 1 in 5 or 6 to win in singles, however winning and losing go in streaks...for instance, I have won 5 of the last 11 games I have played which is way out of line.....

An interesting game!

one way to see how gd a player is is to simply take their score, minus 1000 (for the points u start with) divide by the number of games. problem with this is that the higher rank u r, the less points u get so if u look at their rank then that will show u somethin as well. if a sergeant has 6.33ppg then that is nothing compared to a general having 6.33ppg

I won 7 of my first 8 games... unfortunately that winning percentage is impossible to keep up ;) It's been hard even keeping my points much above the level I had then now ;)

Sometime ago - I was sent a graph that sully had done for Robinette.
the x axis was games played
the y axis was points (-1000)

Sully had stuck about 150 players info on the graph and then plotted an average curve line.
With stats being so easy to run from an inital programme, why cant we have more things like this.
Then every single player (regardless of rank or number of games played) - could see if they were above or below average. :?:

This is actually already on the Pending To-Do list. More Individual User Stats

Give Lack some time he's just one person and can only do so much.
