Just wondering if anyone has created a mobile app and if not is there any demand?

I built the Android RSS notifier app a while ago, before the API was developed. Looks like it has come a ways and am wondering if there is a demand what would you want in the app? What are the top features?

Thanks,
Andrew

I believe that runewake2 is also working on these things. Might check with him.

The iPhone app is broken. Not sure about the Windows. The problem with a third party app right now is that there are updates too quickly here on the site and it's difficult for outside parties to keep up with that.

Thanks for the update!

What kind of changes are we talking about? Actual site changes or just api changes? As for api changes it might make sense to implement versioning so when you start adding/modifying the api it does not break an older version. Also would be great to keep a changelog of changes to the site/api to keep devs in the loop so they can update quickly and fix there app.

Hi, I had missed this post (Midterms). I am indeed the guy you want to speak to about mobile CC apps.

I've seen issues myself with the introduction of Polymorphic Games and a bug introduced around the same time which resulted in games with no players.

One big issue we have faced is developer support for their apps. People inevitably move on, however their apps remain. The iOS app for example has fallen into disrepair. I recommend keeping this in mind should you develop an app.

I personally have already developed the Windows Phone app with Windows 8 and Android apps on the way.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have here on the forums or via PM.

I'm renaming this Topic to something that does not summon Indian mobile programmers.

Good plan. :D

Also a good idea to edit their spam links out.
