Thanks for the feedback sheepwn. I actually have not won on Japan yet in two tries so I will need to go in there again. Its another good point too that different maps call for different strategies.

I think he was saying on Tokyo (Japan) on the Classic map.

Now try to get to Conqueror in less than 250 games!

All good points, pick your strengths and go with it. If you aren't a diplomat, don't join games that can go for a long time, pretty simple. Now the conqueror is 250 games that was mentioned would be quite the feat, looking forward to that thread being opened up someday!

Very true! rousseau is a very solid and stand-up player! KOA is extremely fortunate to have him on our side! =D>

Hi, thanks everyone for the posts. I'm glad that people have gotten something out of reading this. I am planning to come out with a version 3.0 to expand on tactics. I am not going to be the one to get to conqueror in 250 though! My recent games have kept me plodding along at Colonel but it gets harder to climb with more points since you drop a lot of points if you lose a game the higher you get.

I've recently been on team games with my clan (KOA) - its been a good experience on that as well.

I guess the final thing for now - is that I actually have not won on the Japanese map in two tries (the old Shogun style era map) I find that map to be very sensitive to getting an early lead in Kyushu. (The guy who wins on the southern most island there will most often win) If you dont have the good drop (which I havent) then its a very hard map to win on.
