He probably wants to get the january gold for powerscore since freefalling will be not count i guess. That s cooler than a high score.

FF should count. They wont take that from him

*EDIT* damnit josko! lol

so i guess you asked the mods when you were second and FF got busted? lol.
Well that is absolute bullshit. they took it away from the crown last month because he kept all the winners and left all the losers with the right timing; that's not cheating. ff made an account abuse to stay on top of that boaed with his own account and he's getting away with it?

hes really utilizing the snaps. you other guys are just to lazy, he puts at least 5-10 min for every round

humm nope. almost every person who posted in here does it in competitive games.

I thought it was normal to put 5-10 minutes into planning each and every turn? Do some people just begin the turn and then start deploying with no plan and go with the flow? Please tell me you have some kind of plan to win as well.

Some games require more than 10 minutes per turn, others less than 5.

I may not have always seen eye to eye with josko, but there is no denying his skill at the game. It kind of puts dice complaining into perspective, given how rarely he loses. About time I spent more time planning my moves, evidently! I'll be the first to admit I rush sometimes and it just leads to stupid mistakes.

Also, I noticed he is playing generals and brigadiers on their favourite maps and settings and still winning. Class act.

That is not completely accurate as he declined my invites on certain maps that I prefer such as Kings II. If he knows the map then he usually accepts...

I don't see a problem with that. My statement is no less accurate as I didn't specify that he accepted all games on high rank's specialist maps, just noted that he was playing some top players on their preferred maps and settings. Obviously he is familiar with the maps, but he's still playing the best of the best on those particular maps and winning.

Never played him, but not much to say about his quality and determination to win every game. His win rate and clan results speak for it.
I would expect a game against him in any map/setting to be a great fight .

But ive seen many people here criticizing thecrown and BENCLUB for their strategy to climb or improve scoreboard. Specially the accusations against benclub were ridiculous(inviting people to play private games in his good settings/maps)
Also someone here said he is doing something similar to thecrown to acheive a better performance(delaying games).

It does not really bother me, i found it legit. What bothers me is to see all the whinners and cryers making so much noise in some subjects and then in a similar stuff dont come here to protest like its the end of the world

Thanks Armandolas. Just for telling the story of all people that can't be bothered to do all this effort themselves. I'm one of this category and have great admiration for their almost "professional" style of play. If I'd get paid for this game, I would play just like they do. That is, if I were blessed with all the strategic insight in the game and all.

To be frank, it's not always about strategical nous, and often more about doing the basics well, along with ramping down on mistakes!

Agreed.

@Armondolas, this is obviously different as josko is not sending invites to people that have never played Labyrinth or the World Cup maps, nor is he dropping his score to get the maximum gain possible. He might delay a few games, big deal.

Josko's play is well beyond the basics and cutting down mistakes. He is tactically the best player I have faced and I do not think it is close.

it is about strategy. and josko is god damn good in it. i just looked at first page of games he finished, and he hasnt lost a single one. thats bloody insane. i always said its impossible to be best at this game because there are so many different maps and different settings, but what he is doing is close to impossible. i tip my hat to him (and everybody who knows me, knows im not the guy who will be nice about anything, but this time is well deserved)

I'm sure josko is in my top 3...quite possibly number one on what he is achieving right now.

Where did I say I spoke to mods? Why would I do that? I just think it would be a stupid thing for the mods to take 2500 conquer points from him... Let josko surpass him.

I had a feeling those names might pop up... ;)

I think Josko's achievement is comparable. I am most impressed by the fact that he playing very strong opposition, huge numbers of games and he has, just now, gone over 6000 points.

Out of curiosity, what metrics are you using to make such a determination?

Well Foxy; first and foremost - the board maps were simpler back then, not as many, which made competition that much tougher as most people knew the majority of the maps. Josko plays many maps that require specific knowledge on the basic strategy, which many people do not possess yet decide to play anyway to learn. This is why the points on the scoreboard are much higher today than years past, although the names that I mentioned still maintained 4-6k points. As ive mentioned, Josko is a great player but unless you've been around aong time, there are players that IMO, were better; many would agree and this isn't taking away from his ability by no means. I'm sure your clanmate Bruceswar would agree as we all played together back then.

im interested, so please enlighten me, what kind of superior strategy hits you need to know to play France doubles? outside of being able to think, of course.

I think code's point is that because there were less maps and they were more basic it was harder to win on such a consistent basis. However I would argue that he is playing very basic maps now and the only complicated ones are against top players on those maps, which I believe was kinda your argument, freak.
