Time to vote. Let's get some numbers on your optimism/pessimism!

(note: you can't change your vote).

I think there are enough people who have enough interest in the site to keep it going for quite a while - (including bigWham and, of course, me).
The dice-whiners etc. are a minority - a very vocal minority, yes, but a minority - and a small one at that.

CC is sort of a relic of another time -- I think that has been touched upon before. It'll be interesting to see how it continues in the coming years.

Note to future AOG: Don't bump this topic in 5 years.

The Dynamic maps thread in the Foundry can really solidify this for another 5 years.
And a mobile app.

The answer to that question will depend on CC's ability to bring in younger players. Most of us are older guys who played this game in our youth. My kids generation did not play board games. So how do we draw them in?

Probably a bit wrong to sidetrack this one, but have there ever been a suggestion about the option to play real money games?
Tried to search for it but did not find anything about it, could have been a good extra income for the owner if they take like 5% rake or something..
But I guees its lots of legal shit they would have to jump through to make it possible, but it would have been a lot of fun.

Should probably have put this in suggestion, but did not have it in me right now to write something "formal" :P

And back to the topic : ofcourse it will, I am only 28 and I plan to be member until the day I die :)

They need to overhaul the UI in the next year or so to salvage any sort of popularity. It's disgusting.

Next, they need to turn CC into a porn site.

Isn't the Black Jesus the alpha and omega, the beginning and end? Of course! He's a time traveler, so everything for him is recent (and ancient). He's just trying to keep things simple for us.

The Black Jesus doesn't see time as linear. He is all-knowing and all-pissed-off-about-USA-2.1.

I agree, and I'd expect a huge increase in new users and current activity, but there's legal difficulties. This is how government regulations constrain employment and pleasure.

Yep, cause nobody would create a separate profile and cheat when actual money was on the line instead of just points.

Just wandered on this topic... I say 20% and that is a good number.
CC can't survive without MASSIVE change of User Interface. I'd name it CC2, and it should be a work from scratch. You simply can't have exactly same UI in 2019 like you had in 2006. Not gonna work.

This is my first post I think ... (previous posts by my late husband) ... never thought I'd post here but bored tonight alone on a long weekend so here I am.

Back to the point of the thread then - I can't see it lasting 5 more years - although I do see the demand being there.

If enough people continue getting fucked by management here, then they will begin to run out of users willing to pay for premium - like me. Had my premium ripped away after playing for less than 2 months as an accused multi. This despite the fact that I contacted them PRIOR to joining and explained my situation regarding my late husband. They investigated and told me everything checked out, so I bought in - then got ripped off - refused to pay since. Told them I'd meet them face to face with further evidence and the assholes refused.

I understand that this is an isolated case of 'pissed off' but I have had many contact me since (over the past year) with stories that mirror the insane decisions these people make. Many of them refuse to pay also, though there were a few who still do - and some names that you would all recognize. It's too bad because the site itself is pretty nice with lots of options. It's just hard to pay when you've already allowed them to steal your money once.

I understand that many of these people are volunteers and I don't want to dump on many of them who don't deserve it. But to the few who are ruining it for lots of people you should feel ashamed of yourselves .... King Achilles for one, who approved me before I joined, only to steal the premium from me afterwards.

Well there is my rant .... was feeling alone and thinking about my husband and that got me thinking about these assholes all over again.
