Probably not. Things happen, things eventually fail. It was fun while it lasted.
I used to work for the Multi-Player Games Network. Started out in the 90's as a service you could access through Compuserve's dial in lines. Went into the internet age but got sold out to a small publicly traded company that didn't do all that well around 1999. I did the programming work for both "Empire Builder" and "Operation Market Garden." Don't know them? I don't care anymore. Somewhere in the basement I have the Empire Builder swag bag.
I then worked for Acclaim Entertainment for a year or so, in their "internet" division. Pity that game consoles didn't really have standard internet connections until after I left the company because they weren't putting in those connections standard. Ah for those old games, "Fur Fighters," "Revolt" and the South Park games where South Park thought that in the car racing portion having bug splatter on the windshield was "too graphic." Fortunately I wasn't directly involved in game design so if you don't know about them I really don't care and never did. Somewhere I have the Fur Fighters fur covered pen and a few T-Shirts.
Actually, every time I find my old faded CC coffee mug I reminisce. Those were the days, my friend.
Because in the end, only the swag remains.
And it's not really all that interesting, anyway.
Oh, wait. I have Fur Fighters boxer shorts.
As I said, not really all that interesting, anyway.
