Why start 50 games?

Is there something I missing, that causes people to start 30-50 or more identical games?

I can understand sort of, if there is a monthly challenge or a tournament of some sort where one needs to play multiple games on the same map with the same settings. (I don't really understand but accept it.)

Why not start 2 or 5 and wait for them to fill? I was just looking for trench, manual, sequential games, that were public and waiting for players. I found 187 of which way more than half were from 3 people and each of them had and were for 2 or 3 players. If these games filled quickly I could understand but these will not.

Why have than many open games just sitting?

Anybody have an answer.

I think you answer your own question without realizing it. If it were to fill quickly, you can start a few and wait for those to fill. Then when you want some more, make a few more, and you’ll be playing shortly.

Some games take forever to fill, so instead of always waiting forever before being able to play the games that interest you, you create many so that you have a steady flow of games filling always because you know they aren’t going to fill very quickly.

But how does having 50 unfilled games get the pipeline filled more than 10 unfilled games? I am missing something?

They take awhile to fill, so some can join 5, some 10, some all 50. Games of this type usually are the same group, maybe some have foes, so once player A joins some, player b can’t. So player b joins the others that his foe isn’t etc.

Allows for large quantities of slow filling instead of small amounts of games.

I don't usually do quite that many, but yeah I've done 10 or 20 before when I know they won't fill for a few months

My comfort level is 20-25 games max, And never start more than 1-2 in waiting

One reason is because of maps that aren’t around all the time. On that note, go join my. Christmas games!!

Unrelated: 100 games is the ,ax number of waiting games allowed
