My Personal Review/Feelings of CC

I joined back in 2010, I was just about to turn 12... Yes, 12. I had a neighbour who introduced me to this. To me it brought me into a whole different kind of world, I had never played a risk game before, but when I got into it, I really liked it. I continued to play for a few years, but life did get in the way and I left for a while, then came back again. But life happened again, I lost my granddad. I stopped playing for years but I have since picked it back up, after 6 Years I am back!
However, after returning this year due to the current world issues I have been met with both happiness and some anger. Below are some of the things that I have seen change and my current view on them, and before you read on, I’m not a developer, I don’t know how to “code” these are just my opinions on how I feel like this place has changed since the last time I was active on here, which was around early 2015.
Central Command (Formally My Games), while some of it looks nice, other parts i do not like... The Events Section I feel like should be either in the side bar or maybe it could have a separate tab within the Central Command page. It just takes up too much real estate, especially when you are on a laptop. Also, not sure what necessitated a name change to this page, to me “My Games” seemed perfectly fine.
The Start Games, has had some change since i last was on here, most are actually good improvements, something I don’t like is the default setting of a Random map, it wouldn’t be too much of a pain but it is all the way down at the bottom of the drop down… It just feels a little clunky, it could be better.
The Chat Room, as i sad before, that place was fantastic, when i was in school and college, coming home and talking to people on here, especially since i was basically a loner at college it was so nice to be able to talk to people on here. But now it is a barren desert, and I am sad about that. It seems to have been replaced in partial by the Global Chat, this is another change i do not like... Maybe the moderation is better? But it just looks bad, it does not fit the design of this site, It just looks ugly, and from the small amount of time i have had that "Feature" on, all I’ve ever seen is people trash talking other people.
The Dice, I have been seeing people complaining about the dice a lot since I have come back. People have been calling the dice unfair and fixed to befit people with the higher ranks to keep their high ranks… But personally, I feel like when the game is initialized that is when the “winner” is chosen. And from there, it is when I feel like the dice are one’s favour or not. It does feel unfair when you have say 10 to 1 and the 1 somehow wins that battle, but that’s my opinion.
The Panel Interface, this just feels like a rip off/some sort of integration of BOB, but it just feels clunky, wrong and not what BOB is. I for one turn off the Panel interface and just run BOB, that’s just how i feel about it, The panel interface could be better, i feel like BOB is the correct way of making that feature, i just feel like something fundamental was missed when it was integrated into the system.
Auto Tournaments/Events, these are cool. I like this. I ran 5 of my own Tournaments and while this form is still superior to me, i do like the Auto Tournaments, takes out "me" in making a Tournament and the system just creates it. Only grumble i really have with it is i do not need to see the Clan/Tribe's stuff, it is useless to me.
All in all, this is just my feelings about CC. I still love playing games on here, and it’s nice to see that it still has an active player base, and also seems to have some sort of development, even if i think some of the things that has been developed on here are questionable at best.
