I've just had a crazy thought

Why do we need to unvote? No seriously...

Why not just make it so that the player's last vote counts, instead of putting unvote all the time.

Ask Fircoal. He explained it to me once.

I don't require unvoting in my games (well, game). If there's a problem with this, I've yet to be informed.

Good point.
S'pos you could either wait for someone else to be voted, or vote yourself?

when you see the unvote, it helps the Mods sort out the vote count and also helps the players keep informed that the previous vote has been cancelled. In regards to scrapping it here, maybe not... better not to teach an old dog new tricks.

Also, sometimes you unvote without wanting to drop a new vote down.

I was the first person to ditch the unvote rule, it's only needed when you want to take a vote away and don't want to vote again. If you want to vote again just don't use unvote IMO, it's easy enough to see who is changing the vote, it won't make a different for me if I see unvote or not. Mainly the reason I use this rule is so if someone forgets to unvote I don't have to be, "Sorry, you're vote doesn't count because you forgot to unvote" I don't like being like that, in votes I use my judgement, if the form is wrong, but I think you meant it to count, I'm counting it, that's my only requirement. That it looks like YOU want to vote that person. ;)

then unvote. but if you do want to vote somebody else, then there's no point in the unvote part.

Problem, if you just vot epeople, and don't unvote, people could call you on it, I'd think.

I require them b/c sometimes as scum you may want to throw off a red herring in trying to vote for someone, but not really want to. i personally have never done it, but have seen some others do it in games before.

Cuz it's fun to unvote someone then vote them again immediately.
