Because it was advertised in the clan forum and not the mafia forum. When it did arrive here most regular players were involved in a large game already.

You will find that a lot of mafia players arent tied to clans.

Just FYI this event has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

@ Endgame ... we will make better and better setup. Clan mafia can work but in a 4 clans setup, not in a 16 clans setup.

There were 11 or 12 that signed up in the end dakky. You don't need to limit to 4

If everyone knows what faction everyone is in, then it's not much of a game of mafia...

Well, what about mafia inside mafia. In every faction one player is mafia, but you don't know who it is. While you can have daychat in your clan's forums, you still don't know who is scum in your team... That could work, regardless of knowing that 4 factions exist and their members.
