Bonus For Every Country Map

How about this for sheer lunacy: Classic Map on Steroids. Every country is a bonus-spawning continent - some worth 1, some worth 2. Going first would be AWESOME. Not going first would be NOT AWESOME.
I have been thinking of designing a map totally insane and I found this and read this I though this would be a great map. So I'm going to do it I'll copy and paste the Script for CC then change all the bonuses
This is all about opinion if there isn't enough I won't edit scripts

might work, so long as you don't copy an existing map. The only problem is i don't see any originality...
plus i think someone mentioned how this wouldn't work in a diff. thread, the first guy to go would have a huge advantage, and take a bunch of opponent's countries, and the opponents would get fewer guys than the first guy and never be able to catch up, it'd make a pretty vicious cycle and determine the winner from the first turn

what's the probrlem, if you don't think it will work don't play it, but why can't he at least try to make it?

the thing is, that even if the first person gets like 10 guys, he can only take over about 4 countries at the beginning, and even if he got ridiculously luck,y he could get 12. And then the other people would still get a lot each, and they could team up on him. In 3 way games, it might not work as well, but anything larger, they would just have to team u on whoever goes first.

Erm I did mean each country starts with 10 units instead of 3 on that map

That's ridiculous though, think about an unlimited fortification game. Everyone would have 40/50 or more armies on each territory almost straight away and nothing would ever get conquered because people would be too scared to take anything.
Try it if you want but it seems like a crap idea to me

It wouldn't be possible to make each country start with 10 armies.
I do think that a map with a bonus for each territory could work, you might have to just include some other creativity to provide a bit more balance.
As you currently stated it, whoever starts first has a huge advantage, especially if the map was very large. Keep in mind, you would get a bonus for each territory PLUS the normal bonus for the number of countries you have....unless you can figure out some fancy way around that in the XML. The problem is that whoever goes first probably has TOO much of an advantage. So if you can figure out a way to provide more balance as things get lopsided (perhaps a negative bonus for groups of countries) it might be a worthwhile idea.
However I don't think you should use the classic map, because it already exists. There have been tons of maps in and out of the foundry- some very well developed and then abandoned. So if you want to do this I would suggest picking up an idea from the map ideas thread or grabbing an abandoned map and taking to the original cartographer to see if you'd be able to adapt it.

you would need a lot more programming to get round the fact that you get people for evry 3 territories you should look at USApocalypse thats complicated enough
