What is Vvardenfell?
Edit: Oh, duh, Morrowind. I should have known that... Guess I just wasn't thinking...

Add the connections between islands so we can judge playability

He's questioning what steps you've taken to check into the Copyrights of such a map.

I haven't done anything yet, I wanted to see if people would want a map like this first

I added the lines between the islands:
I know the colors are a little off of the first one, I accidentally made the lines in the uncolored version.
I'm going to add mountains and Stronghold teleports (If you played Morrowind you would know what this is) if this seems like a good map to everyone.

First, you should break up that large gray part. That's just too big.
Then, maybe condense the green bit, so there aren't so many territories.
Other than that, looks like an interesting idea.

I added names to every territory and divided the gray area:
I need to come up with the continent bonuses and add the mountains next

It looks good, but you should make some of the teritories bigger, so you have space for the army circles.

I forgot about army circles, thanks. I'll work on that right now

I dont see the point in putting so much effort into a map if you dont have permission. Get permission first then work on the map. Otherwise you are just wasting your time.

Update:
I made some territories bigger, added army circles, made some (very poor) mountains. I will add more inside each continent, but first I wanted to get the barriers between each continent. Each Stronghold has red font, and all Strongholds can attack each other.

ditch the stronghold idea. keep it simple

I'm trying to make the map better, so maybe more people will want to have it. If no one wants it, then everything would be a waste. Once I get to a point where the majority of people would want this map, then I will ask Bethesda

It doesn't seem like anyone wants to have this kind of map, so I'm going to stop working on it

I'd play this. But you really need to ask Bethesda.
I tried making a Warcraft map and got denied by Blizzard.

Yes, but CC already has a Tamriel map, so I dont see why they would deny the Vvardenfell one.

Because the Tamriel map sucks? That one was truly a mistake.
That not meaning that this one will. Well executed, it could be a great map. I voted yes to the idea.

It’s a made up, fictions map. Copyright apply per se (unless the author explicitly put it in the public domain). But it’s an old computer game, what are we talking about? 5 years by now. Don’t think they mind the free publicity for the series. Besides, I’m sure so much copyrighted material has been spread on fans’ forum by now they don’t bother. And computer software guys are pretty soft with these things.

What the hell, I say I'm going to stop working on it and then people start to post and vote yes. I guess I'll continue, but I don't have time today

Oh. I was hoping you would have it ready for a final forge by tomorrow the latest. Would have been fun with a new map at the latest this coming friday.
