Warlord I (Two-player) v4 - Attack Arrows/Neutral Values

This is set for two-players, though three could go at it with the 3rd player taking neutral positions.

It incorporates several ideas from the XML string for new ideas:

Set Placement
Bonus/Barrack Spaces
Forts, Limited Attack Dice
Variable Neutral Response

Field Works are impassable, Rivers and Canals are passable at cities only.

The players start in either corner with 20 armies each. The neutrals have 20 armies. Each territories value is covered under the Variable Neutral Response post of the XML string. Each would have a 1-6 value, either random or set (will put these up soon for set values).

The five cities are Bonus Spaces and don't count toward territory bonuses but do produce armies each turn they are held.

The two Forts add an extra die to the defenders roll and do not count toward or receive reinforcements. They may be reinforcement normally though.

Forty-One Territories. Eight Provinces. Five Cities. Two Forts.

You'd also have to wait for 2-player gameplay to be implemented... if it ever is.

sounds interesting, although I dont have the mental energy to figure out all that complicated gameplay.

the problem is that even if you make this map for a 2 player game it will still be possible that lets say 6 player games be put on it, so or make the map bigger or dont waste your time on it.

New Map

I reloaded a new map, I changed the Province names to actual warlords from the early 20th century and adjusted the ledgend a little bit to be easier to read, bu it still needs work.

Anyone with Chinese geography knowledge who could suggest City, river, canal, and fort names would be helpful.

I assume you more spaces?

There are 48 total spaces and 8 Provinces... more than the original, I believe, which has 42.

These are imperfect at best and are more to help understand what I mean in the XML strings. Neutral 6's always attack.

 sorry didnt botter to count the territories, when you said 2 player map i pressumed it was a small map.

48 is a good number, for 3,4 and 6 player games its ideal because there are no neutral territories.

the idea is good, but work on the graphics
