More first nations maps?

So we've got two really awesome first nations maps and a supersize map. I'm curious if there would be any support for a first nations of Africa map. I would really love to play it, but I think there are some who don't want to see any more FN maps. So if there's support, let's nag Tisha until she does it.

Personally, I would love to see more of these maps. Not really sure Africa would be the best place for it, but it is as good a starting point as anywhere else.

In fact, we have numerous maps that could be turned into a series of maps.

i say no to Africa.

what was great about the ones we have is it was First Nations North, First Nations South and a supersized merged one.

so i would suggest a First Nations North Africa covering this region

overlapping ones of Southern Africa, East Africa & West
Of Africa could be added

if these were popular they could be supersized into First Nations Of Africa

however i doubt they'll have anything like the popularity of the original series as they lack the familiarity of the originals. i am an aussie and i know of apache, shawnee, aztec and mayan tribes. much of the world does. that draws us in.

i don't think this continent will.

and most of australia don't know who they are, not even there local one.

plus you'd have to super supersize the map just to fit the tribe names in.

Africa would be a pretty great place for First Nations I think. Long ago, I remember I studied some Precolonial African history, and found it a nice change of pace from the more familiar African history.

Hooleeee crap, that's a big map. I had no idea Australia had so many different peoples going on when the Euros came, not too surprising the Euros took control of the continent so quickly... what happened to the aboriginals? was disease as big a factor as it became in the Americas?

When I saw cairns map for the first time, first though was F me. That is huge but what a map. I looked at it and saw so many different regions that would make for some really interesting games. Great thing about it as well is it would make for a lot of different type of games. Not just the large 8 player games, but also a couple of 1v1 maps in their as well.

it's the names though that are a problem. the map would probably need to be coded A1, A2, B1, B2 like WWII Europe .

Has anyone ask Tisha if she wants to do this one?

I don't think so, I just started a thread to see if I could gather interest for more FN maps. I was hoping if there was a clamour for them, then it would be a good time to ask.

I'd like to see First Nations of Europe but I'm not sure it would be possible. It would have to be set before the time of the Romans but little is known about mid, west, north and eastern Europe of that time. Only the south do we know enough about.

Disease? IH.
I don't think so much...more the impact of settlers arrogance with water and food supplies

Actually a celtic first nations has quite a bit of potential. The Romans did keep a record of where the original tribes were (even if other information is somewhat suspect) and they had a tendency to allow locals to continue with their own cultures (hence why wales is a celtic nation, not a sub-roman one).

Also maybe has the potential to be paired with germanic/slavic/baltic first nations maps. Although I have to say, both africa and australia have just as much potential as well.

Id love to see a first nations map for all the continents, I think they are great maps and a very cool Idea. I think all areas ahve the history required to create a map under this theme. I want more!
