Conquer Club

I've been thinking about such a map for a while.. And i've given it a shot, to try and show what i'm trying to do.. Not much in this map can't be changed, because its more of a base and will(if followed through with) likely under go alot of changes.. Its inspired somewhat by Jota's USA Apocalypse map, and tries to do a similar thing - Portray the world in a distant, possibly chaotic, time in a slightly humorous way. I realize, its not very humorous right now.. But i'm willing to change just about anything for to do this.. And I know its not graphically nice right now, but i'll redraw it completely when i've got a better idea of how it'll look.



Things obviously don't fit well.. I may need to break the limit by 50 pixels, but I don't know if thats too much.. Its currently at 350(lengthwise)..

I'm open to any critisicm, name suggestions, border modifications, change in continents, or feelings of dislike.. Uh, New New China for example was just a crappy idea.. that should change, and i'm willing to change it if you've got any good suggestions.. But I thought it'd be temporarily better than leaving SA a wasteland or just not there at all. Also, names for the Alien separatist territories were quick temporary fill-ins.

I know colors are similar, i'll work on that. And the key is just awful.. I didn't put work into that, and i'm planning on putting everything in one key.

The number of territories isn't great, so I may have to remove(Add would be really hard) a few(or alot) or them..

And being that I wont sink alot of work into a map nobody wants, if polls seem to go unfavorably i'll abandon the idea unless its close.

And the name is up for discussion.. May be post-apocalyptic, may be a certain year.. Whatever seems suitable..

Earth 3000 would be a good name . Ilove the map however there are too many bonuses

Don't know - some of the names are a bit crap and your going to have to make sure it isn't too similar to any of the other 3 World Maps we have (Global Warming in development). Are you planning on using the wee nuclear signs on this and all?

Aw, man... I had an idea for a post-apocalyptic map. Now you went ahead and ruined my fun! ;_;

I find aspects of the map quite offensive towards certain ethnic groups etc. I also highly disapprove of the phrase "commie bastards" , which I find insults my political beliefs

You skipped sectors VI and XI

I like the idea, but the map itself is way too clustered.

my thoughts:
1. the map looks cluttered
2. the names of the territories need to be changed they are highly offensive to some people and this just doesn't work
3. the colors are on one side too brith and on the other side the foggy
4. the lines connecting continents are too large
5. the legend needs to be changed and find it a proper place in the map

I think that this is offensive to everysingle person. Im American, and it looks like the map is from the US' point of view. This makes us look like ignorant retards! Plus, we already have 3 world maps, and this is going to be no different gameplay than Global Warming.

I would like to complain more, because he stole the idea I hadn't had yet. Why do people equate "post apocalyptic" to "funny country names"? I'd like a ridiculously misnamed world map, but it has nothing to do with apocalypse. Also, just like global warming boo. Also also, you are ugly and has cooties.

Ok.. So I offended alot of people.. Which was expected, and a reason I was open for change.. And yes, it seems to take a US point of view which you could take offense to if you want.. I tend to not be bothered by such things Kaplowitz, and i'm American as well, and maybe thats why I wasn't thinking that others would(because I was thinking more like what would bother me)..
But i'll change the names that are over the top.. Uh, I hate the change commie bastard, sorry nagerous(but that doesn't mean I wont).. Just point them out to me..

I wish i could vote for answers 2, 3, and 4 all at the same time.

I dont think we need another world map, we dont need another end of the world/apocalypse map, and i dont like the idea of it.

Pretty awful to be honest. It's just an uglier classic with insults.

And is this a parody map or an actual realistic attempt at the future of the world?

Cause even if the world was all messed up, i doubt they would name countries things like "rapists" (In Australia), "fence jumpers" (Mexico), "Dicks" (mid east), and "Penguin JackA**es" (southern Africa)

You really need to change the names of most of these places. right now this is just crap.

Firstly its more of a parody.. of coure, there's no real way Penguins are going to emerge as a dominant species.. Uh, as far as the names go.. Dick's was an Idea going with the Bush administrations's war in iraq and the "inevitable" spread to the rest of the middle east.. and the partitioning of the land it's "Dick's" section[cheney].. That was probably going to change.. Uh, Penguin Jackasses was.. well, the jackass penguins of Africa(I believe).. Rapists was just to fit the criminal theme in Australia.. And Fence Jumpers is quite obvious.

Anyway, i've abandoned the idea, so it doesn't matter.
