Anyone fancy a 100 credits bet on whether the map is available before the ladies finish playing?

I'm gonna be optimistic and say it happens.

The shopkeeper will magically appear.

Playing this on the beta site:

2015-06-25 21:48:36 - ManBungalow received 4 troops for 17 regions

I don't see anywhere on the map that it says there are adjusted region count bonuses? Otherwise (and after addressing ian's feedback on the previous page) we're looking good to go; and I'm trying to get this through sometime this year!

I nudged MrB about that stuff a few days ago, but haven't heard back yet.

this is looking good to me! the qualifier bonus works, the canada bombard works and the coloured letters beside the qualifier flags are much more readable. trying to test the objective, after which we're close to quench, unless anyone sees any other issues.

I find the C next to the country names very hard to read, although I guess it's distinguishable because all the others stand out.

Agreed - for the small map. The large map looks OK to me.
I've asked MrB if he can fix them.

Thanks for that. Not too sure why the little letters went all pixellated on the small map, but they're fixed now, , and the Cs are more legible now too.

Shame about the own goal, but glad to have got this one in the back of the net. The final (live) image has got properly aligned football-bullets in the explanatory text.

Sempai, thanks for the hard work on the XML, testing and general prodding. It's been a pleasure working with you ;-)

Enjoying the map, my only issue is how hard clickies are to use in the groups.

and the tourney is done. as in the actual one. good effort, I know this is not the fragmented foundry's fault.

at the time of writing, there are 12 completed 1v1 games with standard settings, excluding 2 deadbeated games. observations of this small sample are below.

the first player won 3 and the second player 9, so there is no evidence for first-turn bias.
the higher-ranked player won 11 and the lower-ranked player won 1, so there is some evidence that this map rewards skill.
the first bonus to pay out was always a qualifier group, 6 times to the winner and 5 times to the loser, while there was 1 time when no bonus paid out.
the canada bonus paid out in 2 games, 1 time to the winner only and 1 time to both players, while the canada bonus did not pay out in 9 games.
1 game paid a quarter-final bonus and a bonus for holding any 2 group teams plus group 3rd place, both to the winner.
11 games paid no stage 2 or higher bonuses.
in all 12 games, no-one reached the semi-finals or final.

Ian, are you counting just 1v1 or poly games too? Also, I believe the semis and final would be used in larger games more.

THA, in the qualifiers, should have a B next to it, not an X.
I've let MrB know privately, but felt I should post in case he looks here first.

i was counting only standard 1v1 games. only one poly game has finished so far and none of the colours reached even stage 2.

no games with more than one player have finished so far. however, the current trench tournament will be very useful in helping to evaluate this map for 1v1 trench. thanks, sempai!

Having played doubles and poly games of all sizes, I'm worried Canada is too powerful. The bombardment ability coupled with an auto-deploy make it the most important region on the map by a mile.

If I am reading it right, once you have made it to the Group stage there is minimal benefit in holding qualifier territories due to no region bonus. Does this affect how powerful you perceive the bombard ability to be?
