This is a Tournament Players Association Year 2(TPA2) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA2 events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the TPA2 scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.

When you sign up YOU MUST SELECT A HOME MAP! THIS HOME MAP MUST BE ONE YOU HAVE NEVER WON ON If you have won on every map, you must select the map you have the fewest unique defeats on (checked by mapquest).
Round 1 will consist of 24 groups of players with 5 in each group. Groups will be randomly assigned. Each group will play on all 5 home maps. Player with the most wins will advance. No points for second place in terms of advancing. In the event of a tie at the end of 5 games, there will be a tiebreaker amongst the tied players. Tiebreaker will be a best of 5 1v1 series based on maps selected randomly, 1 random, 2 from each player that they've never won on before. In the event of a 3-5 player tie it will be a one game random map game. For TPA scoring, we rank first by wins (so a player eliminated with 2 wins will always be ahead of one with 1 win). Players after that will then be sorted by most 2nd place finishes then 3rd place finishes etc. All games will be played at once unless there is a freemium in the group which will mean 2 at a time.
Round 2. If you have collected a win on your previous home map YOU MUST CHANGE IT. The remaining 24 players will be sorted randomly into groups of 4. They will play all 4 of the maps in their group. Most wins advances. In the event of a tie the same procedure from Round 1 will be followed. For TPA scoring player with the most wins in Round 2 then most wins in Round 1 then most second place finishes in Round 2 then second place finishes in Round 1 and so forth.
Round 3. Again, if you have won on your home map YOU MUST CHANGE IT. 6 players will remain here and will be randomly sorted into 2 groups of 3. We'll repeat the process from the previous rounds. TPA scoring will be Round 3 wins, Round 2 wins, Round 1 wins
Finals. The final 2 players will be on a best of 5 series. 1 random map, 2 maps from each player that they have not won on previously.
One caveat in the random assignment of grouping. When possible players with the same home map will not be in the same grouping. We'll move them to the next group and slot another player in. (i.e. Random.org will give me 120 players numbered 1 to 120. Player 3 and Player 4 each have a home map of Stalingrad. Instead of putting them both into Group 1 we'll move Player 4 down to Group 2 and slot Player 6 into Group 1.)
When you enter I will map rank to be sure that your home map is legal. If it is not you will not yet be entered. I may or may not drop you a PM letting you know.
