Canadian Classics Tournament [Winner: Parmenid]

Postby Ikickauassagood on Fri Jul 25, 2008 3:24 am

Welcome!

In case you had not yet noticed, you are on the Canadian Classics Tournement thread. This is an all Canadian tournament. While I am sure there are many ConquerClub players across Canada who may want to battle for Canadian supremacy this is my first tournament so I am keeping it small. Here are the details.

1. Theme: Canada.
2. Name: Canadian Classics Tournament.
3. Entrants: Sixteen.
4. Map: Canada.
5. Game Type: Four-player Standard.
6. Play Order: Sequential.
7. Bonus Cards: Flat Rate.
8. Fortifications: Unlimited Fortification.
9. Fog of War: No.
10. Double Elimination. First two players out count as losing.
11. Canadian players only.

Please note that while I will accept pms from those who wish to join I will count those in the thread first.
As long as you are one of the last two people in a game you do not count as having lost so you can still afford to lose one game without fear of elimination.
Upon winning a game the winner should PM me with the game link.

Prize for the winner: I year premium.
Prize for second: 6 months premium.
Prize for third: 3 months premium.
Prize for fourth: 3 months premium.
Prize for everyone else: You're Canadian! What other prize do you need!? ... >>

I'm sorry MEK but I really want to stick to my theme here. I did not limit the players to Canadians because I wished to descrimnaste against other groups of people but in order to follow my theme. I hope you do not have any hard feelings about this ^^', I do plan to make another tournament after this one, assuming all goes well, and this tournament will be open to all. If you'd like I could save a slot in a future tournament for you.

I am interested to know where you went in Canada though. Did you enjoy it?

I am sorry cho11 but I am not allowing non-Canadians into this tournament. I do not do this to be descriminatory but rather to keep to my intended theme. Hopefully you can understand this and you will consider joining one of my future tournaments.

No hard feelings at hard, just kidding around asking if I could be in. I have no problem with you hosting a tournament for people living in a specific geographic area, themes are a big part of the fun in tournaments.
I went to Canada when I was a teenager, grew up in Iowa and had family in Minnesota, my uncle had a cabin up there somewhere-not sure where. We had great fun, caught my first fish in Canada, a little pitiful sunfish but I thought it was awesome!!
Good luck with your tournament!

So by Canadian I'll take that to mean a citizen vs. living in Canada. I was born in Ottawa, but I'm currently an expatriate living in Northern California. Please sign me up!!
