Congratulations to Agent 86! Winner of the Golden Boot!
I'm pleased to bring you another tournament designed to play maps from the monthly challenge! All games are 4 players, etc – following the challenge settings.
This tournament will use the World Cup group stage format. 8 teams start in the Group Stage. All games on Brazil map. The top two from each group advance. 4 teams compete in a Knockout Stage using the same format as group play. All games on World Cup 2014 map. Winning: The team that achieves first place in the Knockout Stage WINS! GA Medal: The player who scores the most "goals" in the tournament wins a General Achievement Medal. (Tiebreaker on World Cup 2014 with tournament settings.)
Sign up as a team of 4 and pick a country from the 2014 World Cup.
EDIT: You may also sign up as an Individual and you will be placed on a team (if enough other individuals sign up while there is space). Reserves may also be called in IF a team needs to replace one of their players.
Format There will be three Match Days in each stage. A Match Day consists of 4 games with one player from each team in each game. Each Match Day represents two matches per group (for example: Team 1 vs Team 2, Team 3 vs Team 4). Each player who wins a game scores a goal for his team in that day's match. (Although all four teams in each group are represented in every game, the goals scored by winning players will apply to the specific matches on that Match Day.) By winning a match a team earns 3 points. A draw counts for 1 point.
Match schedule/Game load Once tournament privileges are granted everyone will be invited to 3 games. Once both group winners and runners-up are determined, the Knockout Stage will begin. All players in the Knockout Stage will get 3 games. Freemium allowed if you have 3 spots open. Game load = 3 simultaneous games per stage. If there is time before the month ends, Knockout Stage Match Days will be spaced out a day or two.

A GA medal has been approved for "The single player in the tournament who "scores the most goals" - i.e. wins the most games, regardless of team performance".
