Opps, my bad, the Wikipedia article is for shit. I had misread the line about the one in Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL Yes it closed in 2012.

And in deference for AoG (why I will never know) I won't add a smiley.

I'll add a whole line of them!

For Indian food, Baluchi's (there are several). Or if you're loaded, the Madhur Jaffrey one, Dawat.

For street meat I recommend Roy's Dogs. It moves around somewhat but can often be found near Broadway and East 42nd.

However, we are staying in Midtown

I'd recommend getting a "Hop On, Hop Off" bus pass here: http://www.newyorksightseeing.com/

They have over 50 stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn; you can get very close to just about anywhere you'd want to go in those boroughs . The buses come every 10 minutes or so, so you're never waiting long. Instead of sitting in a subway car, you're out seeing the city and the tour guides are generally pretty good too.

This is the one we used: http://www.newyorksightseeing.com/tourpage.php?item=ALPLUS

I highly recommend doing this for the first few days and I expect you'll book them for the rest of the time just for an easy way to get around.

Cheers Prowler.
Were there any issues with traffic? I can imagine sitting around a lot!
Not a cheap way either, given that a 7 day unlimited metrocard is $30

kizkiz, right down by the park, next to the Ritz Carlton, there is a restaurant called Villagio (location used to be Mickey Mantle's). it is excellent.

Dude. That's about $4 per day for unlimited bus and subway travel.

There were a few times we were in traffic, but the tour guides all had interesting things to tell us, no matter where we were.

We used the subway a few times too and it's certainly faster to go a longer distance. Plus we went to a Yankees game, so we needed to take a subway to get there. But if you're not in a big rush to go a long distance, then I highly recommend the Gray Line buses.

The cost will be a drop in the bucket!!

Which is a bargain in NYC - a round-trip ticket is $5.
And if you need to take an express bus to another borough, it's $6 - one way.

And yet, the MTA is always crying poverty.

Make sure you go bowling, take an Uber cab, and travel on the No. 1, A, and L subway trains.

I heard the The Gutter on N. 14th St. and the Brooklyn Bowl on Wythe Ave are particularly fun to bowl at.

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, the men come and take you away

We better stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - what's going down?

It's not "For What's His Birth"?

I thought that was religious song.

Ok, so the itinery is nearly there.

Anyone know of anything/anywhere good to book for thanksgiving evening?
