Up next: the novelisation of the same story. It is far more detailed and doesn't just follow the main characters. It is not so light-hearted all the way through.
I'm not sure whether I posted the original cover idea. Here's the final version, which I much prefer. The novel should be out in a couple of weeks, one of the people involved is away right now.

Strictly speaking, although my first book reads like a fantasy, there's no magic spells and stuff, and it's obviously not set on Earth, so it probably counts as SF if only through nitpicking.

Meanwhile, the novelisation is now available in paperback, hardback, and e-book versions.
The stage play is available on Kindle unlimited, but so far the novel isn't.
