It's republicans blocking the just approved house bill that would add 7 days paid vacation to the agreement (and basically give the workers/unions what they are asking for).

You seem really upset about it Confed, maybe you should contact your local senator and let them know how important it is that this Bernie Sanders revision stays in the senate version of the bill.

Deseil is just about crude oil... Deseil was always way cheaper than regular gas...Trains also run on Deseil....Outside of a railroad strike....Trucks and Trains will stop moving anyway....Thanks to Biden's continued war on the Fossil Fuel Industry.... America is running out of Deseil storage supply, Biden has closed 5 refineries that make Deseil the past 2 years...... O:)

-------------- Speaking of The AIR TRAVEL.....The Air Marshals are furious with Biden....He wanted 87,000 IRS agents...But not any Border Patrol...He will not send the Army to the Border because of the way it would look...Open Borders....So instead...he is taking Air Marshals off planes...Sending them to help process ,paper work... illegal aliens....The Air Marshals are hopping mad...Their job is from keeping another 9--11 from happening...Air Traffic will be at it's peak...with the Holidays coming....Biden just keeps on finding new ways to "F" America up...... The Air Traffic Controllers were indeed in a union when they were fired by President Reagan. The Union was called PATCO (Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization) and was decertified in 1981.

Under #1, you see that workers in the Railroad and Airlines industry are restricted from striking and the US Government can pass laws to intervene in the Labor Agreements. Those industries are viewed as too "valuable" and a strike there would be too "disruptive" to the US Economy, (my words of choice in quotes) to summarize.

The compromise agreement that was supported by the railroads and a majority of the unions provides for 24 percent raises and $5,000 in bonuses among other things.
