It is very sad to hear this news about a Great Man. He was not a great President, but did Many Good things after he left the Office.

The only honest man to inhabit the White House in the last 100 years.

I will miss him.

I remember when he took office. The paper that day with the huge Carter face on front went straight in the round file. Wasn't a fan.

Seems like a fine human being, but so are millions of others on their way out....my two brother in laws, a close friend, a neighbor....

I am glad to know that Saxi finally realized that his thread here had the wrong title.

Two years after it was announced he was minutes away from death, Jimmy Carter was spotted being wheeled around by his nurse and a Secret Service agent on his 100th birthday in Plains, Georgia.

My Finnish grandmother will be 99 in a month. She was 14/15 and living in Viipuri, Finland(now Vyborg, Russia) when the Soviets invaded and overran her family farm of many generations during the Winter War.
She looks great for her age but gets meaner every year lol.
It's wild to think about what it must be like having lived through all the history she has.
