One day I saw a sandwich in the window of a meat shop. I went in to look at it. Wife was doing her job of complaining to attempt to prevent me from spending a nickle to improve our lives. Once I found out the thing was under $7 cdn I announced, "It's coming home with us."

It's a Pastrami on rye. I like it because it's cheap and basic. I have found out the condiments are cheap and not so good.

After some research I decided to buy an Onion. It is a mid grade vegetable and is pretty close to the same price as the unit was.

My current understanding is the condiment is the most important part but the bread in the sandwich is still pretty limiting.

So that is how I went from occasionally listening to DirtyDishSoap talk about pastrami to buying a sandwich.

Yes, you can vastly improve the quality of the sandwich if you replace the cheap Canadian mustard with a nice Polish horseradish mustard.

You could even add a bit of sauerkraut and upgrade it to a Reuben...

I need to mention, it's not cheap but, Joe Beef makes pretty good mustard.

Quality bread or roll is very often an overlooked part of a sandwich.

When home I generally toast my bread before making a cold cut sandwich… or toast it after adding meat and cheese if I want meaty cheese.

The difference between a turkey with mayo and a turkey with mayo on (the same) toasted bread is remarkable.

Taste is a funny thing.

I DETEST my bread toasted on a sanny...and I eat a LOT of sannies....

Are you eating quality fresh baked bread and rolls… or just regular Wonder Bread?

Never plain white. Typically a nice Italian or French loaf, or sliced bread I buy sourdough or a nutty wheat...hoagie rolls....like to mix it up. Have a bread machine we use for pizza dough.

Toast is ok but I do like soft fresh bread or buns/rolls better.

Maybe toast is better for a tomato sandwich.

I would translate that question for TeeGee but I have not been able to keep up with Australian lingo, so I don't know what they call Sports Utility Vehicles.

I'm not surprised it's towing that Caravan. I'm wondering if his whole family is riding in it?

If it’s relatively flat and like just a few hour ride… it’s OK.

Around here some people park trailers at like beach or lake spots, and leave them there all season.
So they only have to two the thing two times per year… and the lake or beach might only be 2-3 hours from home or less.

Why buy an F250-F350 specifically to tow something you only need to move twice a year?

Especially if you’re the kind of person who typically replaces his SUV every few years anyway?

The relative wear and tear on the drive train or chassis won’t be enough to force an early upgrade.

Have you DONE any towing? It's a weight / mass thing. Straight and flat don't matter for shit if you have to avoid something and apply the brakes. Boom - jackknife and flip.

I have 5 pix on my phone in the last year of that exact scenario. One involved a cool after fire too. Idiots.

My old X5 has one of the best towing capacities of its class at 6,500 lbs. The damn thing weighs close to 6,000 lbs, the same as my full size crew cab C30 dually
