It's Carnaval de Kaybec season and time for Bon Homme to go skating.

The risk of forest fires is currently low in la belle province. Therefore they sent a couple CL-415s to help move water to the city of angels.

Some ding dong decided to make a video but wasn't watching for airplanes.

So DeHavaland Canada has sent some parts down to fix the left leading edge of the wing. No tarif yet.

Eventually there will be drone prohibitions.

It's sad, really. Always some irresponsible asshole that wrecks it for the rest.

SO true for so many things. Very simply, there are TOO many assholes in the world.

I doubt it was malicious, much more likely someone not thinking it through.

I agree, 2dimes, but does not excuse the stupidity of the actions that damaged equipment (the plane) doing good. And the crew was endangered, too, so that multiplies the stupidity.

Hmm, I feel like it used to be obvious, their ignorance would not excuse them from responsibility.

I would also suggest endangering persons on board as well as on the ground makes the negligent act more serious.

Last article I read said the FBI was getting video from a security camera that might help identify those responsible.

I don't know what the situation is in California but in Canada you need a license to operate a drone larger than 25 grams.

Ask around, most people with drones or buying them for their kids have no idea that's a thing.
