Where do you explain how the tie break is done as this is likely to fall at the 16 points mark.

So the tiebreak is just based on ranking at tourney start ? As per the listing in the first post.

No that is one of the last tiebreakers. Here is how tiebreakers have and will continue to be determined:

No tiebreaker games will be played. Ties are broken as such:

Head to Head games played throughout the tournament
Number of Wins going second
Seed at start of Round
Player Score at Time of sign up

Head to head games are figured for Round 4. Between the 5 that are tied with 16 points Clanlord Carl and Chrispond each had 3 wins and Clanlord Carl beat Chrispond. So I believe carl will be moving to the next round, I will double check everything and get games out soon.

Just a question. Is it head to head games throughout the tournament like its listed? Or is it just head to head for this round? Been a little confused by this tiebreaker throughout the tournament

Each of the rounds tiebreakers have been head to head for that round. From what I understood this is how the tiebreaker was setup to be used throughout the tournament. I have to check everything again as well, but hypothetically even if we were using head to head for each round like has been done in the past rounds or using head to head in the whole tournament carl would still be advancing.

I read it to mean the whole tourney not the last round - but luckily it makes no difference

Seems like whole tourney would make more sense ... larger sample size.

Main reason I asked was it was unclear and thrown out in previous rounds. I do believe it was intended for the whole tournament, but it eventually go thrown out due to an uneven comparison between players since not everyone played each other in previous rounds. The same seemed true here. Some games players played against each other twice and went 1-1 which ended in a draw. A third game would have decided a win. Other cases some people did play 3 games ending 2-1. Usually in any sort of game with tiebreakers a win counts as more than a draw. So seems potentially that it may skew results again.

So I guess it would be changed to head to head for the round alone in order to make it certain that everyone had the same number of games in the tiebreaker?

I could see the head to head tiebreaker working in a case where only two people were tied since they would have the same number of head to head games against each other throughout the tournament, but the bracket round shouldn't need it since its already 1v1 with an odd number of games

Not that I think it's worth redoing since all the games are already out but it looks like the seedings may have been done based on only last round's results when the OP states players should be "Seeded by Total Tournament Wins."

Wha-what? Yeah, that's messed up. I don't understand why it's so hard to stick to the rules that you guys created when making these games. Seems like something gets screwed up every round. As the 8-seed, now I'm facing the 3-seed instead of the 9-seed. And I'm "guessing" that about half the players ended up facing a higher seed than they otherwise would have.

Also, what I came here to say was that the scoreboard went screwy. The 16 recently eliminated players haven't been moved to "Group X" where all the other eliminated players are, and their scores haven't been reset, so they're appearing in the top 16 spots. Not too big a deal right now, but it's gonna get real confusing once some results start rolling in.

The Bracket phase is seeded by the previous round wins, the op has been updated to reflect the change. The problem with "sticking to the rules" is that this was one of the first auto tournaments setup and I believe the original TO did not understand the limits of the auto tournament setup. The seeded by score works off the previous round wins not total tournament. The scoreboard is back to normal, something didn't save correctly when I updated it earlier.

Please bear with us as this is the first tournament of this type so there are going to be a few unforeseeable hiccups. The next one I am sure will run much smoother.

Thanks for your (polite) response. If the tourney system can't handle the original rules, then it makes a lot of sense to have done it this way. Sorry for the tone. I'm just getting screwed (and frustrated) in this round by luck, and the seeding probably made it worse than it would've been the other way. Unless something equally crazy happens in the second half of the round, I'm probably just about done.

To be honest I have been just as frustrated with this tournament as well, you will probably remember a couple pages back
I think that with a couple tweaks the next one should go very smoothly without all the hiccups.

We can hope! ;) I did notice that they've already reduced the number and frequency of Championships Tourneys, and now that the infrastructure is in place, it should go smoother next time. I guess the whole thing was a little ambitious. But I suppose we can't fault ambition from the big guy.
