JohnAarson,

You state in the rules that "- Winning average (according to the 1966 American Football rules, ties were not counted in the average);"
Would that mean that Houston, who is 1-1-1, should have a .500 winning percentage? It is currently listed as .333.
Looking at the standings from the 1966 season, it seems to me that Houston's winning % should be 0.500 as the game he tied is not counted in the # of games played.

PS. By the way, I love your tournaments. Count me in anytime.

Thanks for the notice. I will reinvite him one more time as I did before with other players. If he does not accept the invitation, he will lose by 42-0.

I don't remember exactly where, but from what I've read, I got the idea that the draw would count the played game in the equation, and that's what explains the 0.333 average instead of 0.500. However, later today or tomorrow, when I have the time to carefully re-read the rules of the '66 season and that Houston example you just mentioned, I will give you a much more accurate answer.

I'm glad you do, mate! Always nice to have you back again! :D

A LONG time after (srry about that), I double checked the 1966 AFL rules and yes, you are absolutely right. I shall make the adjustments and post here the updates within the hour, as well as the updated 4th week and the invitations will be sent for the 5th.

iAmCaffeine:

Noted. 42-0 win for you.

He has not joined last week's game as well. I will reinvite everybody who didn't join this week's games. Whoever doesn't accept within the next 24 hours, games will be dropped and victories 42-0 attributed to the players who showed up.

EDIT: with the sole exception of game 15030990, because the player at stake lost recently premium and is playing the games as he can.

7 PLAYERS ARE LISTED AS INACTIVE

THAT IS ALMOST 1/3rd OF THE TOURNAMENT

WHY NOT JUST START THE PLAYOFFS WITH THE REMAINING TEAMS ???

On a side note :
TheCrown has not be online since October 16th, 2014, 5:48 pm
He should have been INACTIVE from WEEK 6

Wow, that's a big font :p
Well, I will start by the replying to the last remark: I only consider the players as inactive from the tournament if either he decides to quit and informs me, he repeatedly starts rejecting invitations without explanation or - as it was the case with TheCrown here - he is considered inactive (30 days w/o playing a turn) by CC.
Now to the actual question: I am very much aware and unhappy that too many players are inactive in this tournament. But that's bound to happen in tournaments that last for several months. That being and given the fact that we are just entering the round before last, I see no reason to make such a drastic change. Specially since that creating a playoff with the remaining teams would make the whole tournament up until now absolutely irrelevant.

The decisive games are almost here, Green Bay. Just this round and the next one.

Finally the championship games are upon us! Good luck to the remaining four teams!

PS: Took a long time updating this last round for the reasons that I didn't have a lot of time to spend here in CC lately but also because I had to go throughout the entire tournament looking for small (but difficult to spot!) errors in terms of points, wins and games that I forgot to register during these months.

PPS: I did forget to create one game: Week 14's Dallas Cowboys @ NY Giants. As neither of these players have a chance to qualify to the Championship games, this missing game will be created at the same time as the aforementioned championship games.

PPPS: I Thank everybody that stood up to this point and didn't forfeit the tournament during all these months. You guys/gals are truly the best a Tournament Organizer could hope for. :)
