Galaxy Warriors ( Rd 4 starting soon!)
Posted: Mon May 21, 2007 11:05 pmAll games will be played as Triples, sequential, unlimited fortifications but the cards will vary between escalating and flat rate depending on the map the game is being played on!
The Story: (as much as you can know anyway)
If you join this tournament you will be playing as some sort of Alien. There are four different types of Aliens you can play as (Hybrids, Reptiloids, Predators, and Species). Each of the four extraterrestrials are all running out of the minerals that are necessary for their survival. If they do not do something about it their respective breeds will come to an end! Do what you can to carry your breed to survival.
Rules: This tournament does include elimination, but not right away. Therefore we will need to use a point system. First off in each of the breeds there will be 3 warrior groups (teams). So 4 breeds and 3 groups in each breed (12 overall teams of 3 ppl). Obviously the breeds will be fighting against each other so keep that in mind. Scoring will go as follows :
5 points for each team that wins.
-2 for each team that loses on its own turf.
0 If you lose as the attacker!
As i said there will eventually be eliminations, it is possible if you perform well that if you are eliminated your team can come back to life! So it is important to not only lead your breed to glory but to also be the top warrior group in your breed!
RD1:
Story: Back when the galaxies were all at peace with no need for aggression life was good! However studies showed that the galaxies natural minerals werent going to last forever in fact they were not going to last much longer at all. This discovery created panic, in result of the panic, riots and minor fights began to break out between the aliens. These minor fights grew larger and more dangerous. None of the aliens appretiated eachother nor really cared for the other, but if there was any kindness between any of the four (Hybrids, Reptiliods, Predators, Species) at all it would be the somewhat of an alliance between the Reptiliods and the Species.
As time moved forward, the Hybrids started to run out of minerals so bagan invading the Reptiliods territory with no warning. However some of the Reptiliods were expecting it and were prepared with forms of defense. The Theil, Gazzad and Fexxon had all gathered in defense of their famous Reptiliods. There were no heroes yet but many that wanted to prove themselves. Thy Hybrids had brought their finest warriors (Leiz, Jixxaw, Shoib). Most of the rest of the Hybrids had already died or were too weak to help out with the attack on the Reptiliods.
The Species had already started rationing for this long ago. This did not however make them any safer. For the Predators who procrastinated decided that the Species should share their wealth. The Species would have none of it! Since their relationship was already thin, this created war between the two. The Predators made their intentions well know that if the Species were not going to help out, they would take for their own. The Erovith, Unoping, and Wakkot all wait patiently for the attack of the Avezor, Exikus, and Oxiker... the battle is about to begin
Analysis: The Hybrids are attacking the Reptiliods, and the Predators are attacking the Species. Obviously the home teams will be the Reptiliods and the Species. Remember that there is no penalty for losing unless it is on your own turf! Start to set yourselves apart from the pack and start out with a win!
RD 2:
Story : Well, all the initial attacks amongst the aliens were over! Already you could see the readiness differences of each of the breeds. Or was it readiness? Could it have been just the power differences of each breed? Only time will tell!
The Predators were showing domination early in the war. For they had won every battle that came their way. The predators all made short work of the species defense. The species were forced to run away from their home. The hybrids were happy with their victory over the reptiliods too. Though they didnt demolish them, they still felt good about the attacks. Would all these initial attacks be the base for the war?
Now the species needed somewhere to go. Because of their so called peace between the species and reptiliods, they decided to invade the hybrids after failing to defend their homeland against the predators. They knew what they were getting into, for the hybrids showed a little domination of their own against the reptiliods losing only a single battle. But were they ready to take on the hybrids?
The reptiliods (unhappy with their initial battles) took a more strategic look at things and found that most of the battles were won by the attackers, so decided to see if they could catch the powerful predators off guard. This would both give them more confidence and more of a edge in the battles to come. Of course the Predators woulndt be expecting the attack, or so the reptiliods figured.
Analysis The reptiliods will be invading the predators, and the species will be invading the hybrids. Do your best to help your respective breed and get the victory for yourselves too. The predators and hybrids will loose points if they lose this round.
RD 3
Story: Well, the battles for the Reptiliods went exactly as planned! They made a clean sweep of the powerfull Predators. All the breeds were shocked by this, all the sudden the mighty predators couldnt even muster up a decent fight against them. Noticing this, none of the other breeds dared trying to attack the Reptiliods.
Else where, the Hybrids battles mostly went according to plan. Only losing one of their battles again! Victory was becoming a common thing for the Hybrids. Since all of them stellar warriors it was hard to give credit to a single team. They were going to try and continue their domination over the Species by attacking THEM this time.
The Species had done well sticking together, but still were without a leader, or anyone to follow. In their discussions there were always quarrels about what the next battle move would be, but eventually all agreed on something. Once they did they stuck with their plan and never complained. Well this time they didnt have much say in the matter. The Hybrids were attacking THEM this time. they came right back for more!
The Predators, very unhappy with their most recent battles, discussed amongst themselves and decided that they would do the same. So just as any real Predator would do after a defeat, they turned around and attacked the Reptiliods. They were a little worried about the fexxon in particular, but decided that they would switch up their strategies.
Analysis: So, after defeat in round 2 the Predators are attacking the Reptiliods, and likewise the Hybrids are now attacking the Species. As normal, home teams (reptiliods and species) will lose 2 points if they lose on their home map. Keep in mind that after too many defeats, you will be eliminated!
