In this tournament, you sign up as a team to fight for your country's glory.

Tournament setup:
64 teams of two players.
  • Minimum 1200 average team rating to enter.
  • Each team must nominate a reserve member in case a player deadbeats or leaves the tournament.
  • Four teams maximum per country.
  • After a week, if the spots for the entire tournament are not all filled, I will reopen the application for maxed out countries.
  • Only the two playing team members must be from the same country. The alternate may be from a different country.

All matches will be fought with the following settings:

Map: World 2.1
Game Type: Doubles (4 teams)
Play Order: Sequential
Spoils: Escalating
Reinforcements: Unlimited
Fog of War: Sunny

Two teams will advance from each round to the next. The points awarded for placement will be:

1st: 4 points
2nd: 3 points
3rd: 2 points
4th: 1 point

The team with the highest score total will advance.

The first three rounds will have three matches each.

If a tie develops that would affect who advances to the next round, there will be a runoff match between the teams that have tied.

The fourth (Elite Eight) and fifth (Final Four) rounds will have five matches instead of three.

One team will be declared the victor. If during these rounds a tie emerges between any of the players, there will be a runoff match between the 2 (or more) teams.

Prizes:
3 months premium to each player in the first place team (Limit two per team, so reserves not included unless they played the majority of the final round.)
2 months premium to each player in the second place team (Limit two per team, so reserves not included unless they played the majority of the final round.)
1 month premium to each player in the third place team (Limit two per team, so reserves not included unless they played the majority of the final round.)
Tissues to each player in the fourth place team

Please post here (from ONE team member) who your two players are and your reserve.

I'll go find myself a partner and a reserve.
<edit> Any Canadians who have some (or even none) experience with these game settings want to play on a team with me? And I'm looking for a reserve too.

How do you decide which team joins last? With unlimited it's way too huge advantage and you won't get your tournament full. Using Chained or Adjacent joining last is not that important and most of the time won't decide the result of the game. Or you could do everybody's life easier and make it sequential. Then you would probably have no problems filling the tournament and it would be fair to everybody also.

Just throwing in a few ideas, don't know if I will be joining or can join because I seem to be only active Estonian in the site

hmmm.

Good point.

I didn't think about that. This is my first tournament. Alright, this is now sequential.
