The ignore list is a misleading name for the list, as you can still see any games awaiting players in which people on the list are waiting. What the list does is prevent people on the ignore list to prevent joining games in which you are playing. I suppose that's the easiest thing to code, and it is mostly effective, until cases like this happen. I definitely support the idea.

A Friends List

Postby sl0p0k on Sat Dec 29, 2007 9:38 pm

Okay, maybe there's already a way of doing this that I'm unaware of, so please enlighten me if there is, but this game needs a friends list! There's already an ignore list, but what about those opponents we actually enjoy playing against and want to be able to easily invite to new matches? Nothing too complicated, just a way to keep those people in mind for future showdowns and maybe a way to send everyone a group invite?

Ignore List For Certain Gametypes

Postby ParadiceCity9 on Sat Dec 29, 2007 10:54 pm

Have people on your ignore list for only a certain gametype, such as assassin games. Some people just ruin the game in assassins but I wouldn't mind playing them in standard.

Try to join one of their games.

This is a terrible idea. The point of the ignore list is to ignore someone. If people can see who's list they are on, then they'll bother those people to take them off. That's completely counterproductive to what the system is designed for.

ParadiceCity, as you've been posting a number of suggestions, you could try to follow the form we have in the sticky at the top of the forum?

Make an Addition to the ignore list.

Postby KoE_Sirius on Mon Dec 31, 2007 10:49 am

Some people I have a problem with swearing during games if I could just put them on an ignore list it would be great. My PC is in the living area and the kids can walk past and see the monitor so i dont like it.
The only problem is with the current ignore button. It excludes them from playing against me.Normally people that swear and cuss are really easy to beat and I dont want to exclude them from my games.
Can you make another button please?

just don't scroll down to the game chat when your kids are nearby. If you are planning to leave the computer, then you can lock it, and then when you log back into the computer, everything will be exactly as you left it, and they can't get in, unless they know the password

Buddy List

Postby FiveCardArmy on Mon Feb 11, 2008 11:44 am

Does CC have a buddy list? I can see who is on-line and who isnt? Would be pretty cool to have it work like MSN messenger or AOL or something.

friends list

Postby sure on Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:30 am

well, there is a feature to place people on a ignore list, how about a list, a bookmark of people i'd like to play again?

how are others keeping track of those they would like to play again?

can't this tool be added to the game menu in the same place as the ignore list?

thanks

[SUGG] Enable Forum Ignore

Postby terrafutan on Wed Feb 27, 2008 3:52 am

* Concise Idea: Institute a forum ignore function

* Suggestion Idea: Enable ignore function on phpBB

* Specifics: Most BB systems allow you to enable the ignore poster function for those that want to use it. The ignore function removes posts by people on your ignore list and replaces it with a little message telling you that said user is being ignored. Couple that to a GM script and the whole post can be hidden thereby allowing the user to only see posts relevant to the info he needs.

* Why it is needed: Save time and sanity by having trolls posts not visible to forum users.

Discuss.

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Found a post about the phpBB function here

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &start=120

While searching for that, I found a GM script that you can use for all boards which is much more useful.

So feel free to can this suggestion as I can now ignore to my hearts content without you needing to do anything.

Buddy list

Postby Peregrine on Thu Mar 13, 2008 10:09 am

I think CC should have a buddy list that shows who is online and off. This would make it easier for clan members and others to join games together. Further, people could pm eachother a lot easier rather than posting in a forum or needing to do a search. How about it :?:
